Do you honestly think Canelo has a shot at beating Floyd? I think Floyd beats him fairly easy with Canelo maybe winning 2 rounds max. His body movement is horible and stamina is just as bad.

This pisses me off. I was excited about the 140 tourney and winner fighting khan in december. Winner of that fight in december should be in line for may 2014 floyd fight. Now they are talking about garcia or khan fighting alexander, or ortiz 2.
I want to see canelo this september.

Doesn't Khan have to get his reputation back (like a lot more) before a fight with Floyd is even a consideration? I'd love to see Khan regain his prowess, but I don't see this as a viable fight.

Give me Rios or Alvarado, for starters. Someone who could actually pressure him. Either way, I see Floyd retiring undefeated.

I posted this a little while ago before I saw this article, and it makes me believe it even more:
These are the order of top challenges:
1 Canelo
2 Broner
3 Pacquiao (yes, still)
4 Trout
5 Bradley
6 Matthyse
7 Garcia
8 Khan
9 Peterson
10 Alexander

Floyd has 5 fights left on his contract and will probably retire at that opint. He should fight 3 of the top 6, with 2 more fights against the bottom of the list. But, If Floyd took even 2 of the top 6, it would be ok. unfortunately, I think we'll be lucky to get 1, and instead will get fights vs. Khan, Alexander and Garcia with maybe even some lower level fighters thrown in, like an Ortiz rematch or Berto

Dude Floyd put in terms he knew wouldn't be agreed to. Floyd Ducked him harder than Bowe ducked Lewis. First he said Pac has to call him out. Remember that? Pac called him out. Then he said drug testing, then Pac eventually agreed, then he said it can't be 50/50 Pac agreed but. Sometimes a fighter like Floyd and Ghost get together and the only reason the fight sells is because of Floyd, but if the Pac Floyd fight happened all the money generated would have been because of the matchup and not because of any one fighter. very true. Floyd didn't fight Tszyu, P Williams, Margarito, and others too. and most of them he would've beaten. If he beat all of them he would actually have legit claim to consider himself up there wit SRL and SRR. but he had way too many misses.
I kno arum didn't wanna make the fight either bc he had a ton of excuses too, but, never once did I ear Floyd say I really wanna fight Pac bc that's the fight all the fans want to see. it was always excuse after excuse after excuse. He's a piece of **** and I haven't ordered any of his fights in yrs bc I know he doesn't care about making the fights we wanna see ( I watch em at a bar if I want to see them). he only cares about most money for fights that aren't true challenges. boxing is a business, but its also a sport.

B. Learn about boxing. Outlanding doesn't mean ****. Boxing is judged on a individual round by round basis. Also wtf would matter if I landed 20 jabs in a round and 1 power shot? Alvarez lands 0 jab but 10 power shots. Who prob got the best of the round?
C. Alvarez dropped trout for the 1st time in his career. A guy who bullied cotto even though it was close. So by that theory alvarez is very dangerous because of his punching power. He also showed great head movement. Ok improved movement. So that's the toughest fight for him. Alvarez can hit hard and he throws in bunches. Much more dangerous fight than any of those clowns mentioned in the article. Anyone with a brain who watches the sport knows that

r u serious? there are at least 10 fighters (see list above) that should fight May before Ortiz again. Ortiz has had one fight since May and got stopped by Joseito Lopez. cmon

Floyd will run like a chicken from canelo and Pacquiao. Ortiz did better than people give him credit for against Mayweather and was walking through his punches. He just caved in mentally. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes.

Garcia is a possibility, but to be honest i doubt he will have gone through the 140 tournament by then.
