But see thats what I don't understand, most of these sports analyst refer to Pac as more elite or as a more credible ATG.

My point is why fight someone thats at 140..when there are PLENTY LEGIT 147 fighters...

    Devon
    Kell Brook
    Thurman
    Paulie "yes even him"
    Floyd
    Marquez
    Bradley

Now I do understand that due to the TR and GBP beef that some of these fights can happen, well why does the media all of a sudden understand the beef? They spent 3-4 years basically begging for Pac and May as if it never existed, as if Bob Arum was willing to do business with GBP.

because its pac and its allowed for him as a comeback fight, he is loves, mayweather is hated, so everyone will turn the blind eye no matter who pac fights. its been like this always, and it'll never change. which is why every single boxing fan out there, consciously or subconsciously, knows pac will never be on the true level mayweather reached. they will obviously never admit it and beat it into everyones head that pac is above floyd, but this fight is a glowing example of the hypocrisy and lunacy people have towards pac. dont get me wrong, i dont mind this fight as a comeback for pac, but the bigger picture is basically hypocrisy for pac...

If Broner, a LW that's way behind Pac in popularity, is getting *****ted for taking a fight with Paulie, what do you think Pac with get for fighting Paulie?
Devon, Brook and Thurman are not that much better than Rios or Alvarado, who are both big JWW.
At this point, I only have Ortiz as the only WW fight I want to see Pac against, so that we can continue the who beats who better and my left-over talks.

Floyd, Bradley and Marquez are not happening for Pac at the moment, so no point on bringing it up.

im kinda leanin towards rios. i jus really wanna see rios get KOd hard and finally not have anything to say afterwards. pac would get a huge confidence boost after an easy KO outing against a tomato can of rios' caliber, and hopefully pac will wanna concentrate more on fighting and less on congress. wishful thinking, but whateva...

Pac would not get hell for fighting Paulie, I think the media would say it ok..
I WOULD SAY IT's ok, because Paulie is a legit champ at 147, maybe a weak one but he is, just being fair.

I actually have nothing against Broner for fighting Paulie. It's not the fight we wanted to see, but hey...

Global figures for big boxing matches are all in the 500 mill range anyway, they're just under reported.

So do you think Rios has any chance at all?? Of course everyone has a punchers chance, but what do you think that Rios could do to have any chance at beating Pacquiao??

Pac already conquered Rios style in the Margarito fight.

I agree Rios getting ko'd would be nice.

I've always attributed it to Pacquiao being bigger than boxing to a large portion of his fan base. Therefore, to them no rules apply to Pacquiao that apply to other fighters because it goes Pacquiao > Boxing > Other Fighters to them. Whereas most of the other people who find their way on a forum such as this view Boxing > The fighters. It is mostly reasonable fans of athletes vs. a cult of worship.
