I havent bought a ppv since the margarito fight, looks like it will stay that way. at least he had a slight chance of getting an upset win. As tough as these two worthy challengers are I dont see either guy beating pacquiao or the ppv doing well. The best in the division have run out of big name opponents and are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Arum has wanted to make pacauiao -Rios for a couple of years, just needed to make it somewhat justifiable first. He's all about money and Alvarado can't draw flies to **** (he's nobody if he doesn't have Rios). I would bet my life it is Rios in there against PAC November 23rd. It's not my being a fan of Rios talking, just being honest. People would rather see Rios acting like knucklehead on 24/7 instead of Alvarado lamenting his tough childhood with his trainers who never boxed YMCA volunteers. It's about the promotion these days. It will be Rios.

hmmm its tough to pick a desirable opponent. on one hand i would LOVE to see pac humiliate and retire rios, but on the other hand, i wanna see alvarado fight a true elite, just to see how he fares against a fighter of pacs caliber. i mean both fights pac wins with ease obviously, i jus dono if im more for him massacring tomato can rios, or beating down mile high mike...

Although most sport analyst hold Pacquiao to a higher level...regardless of the KO or not, Pac is a elite fighter....

Imagine if Floyd Mayweather fought Brandon Rios or Alvarado, he would be chewed alive.

well, yea he would. but pac isnt on the same elite level as mayweather, plus he got brutally KOd in his last outing, so i personally dont see anything wrong with this fight. but mayweather would get chewed alive no matter who he fought, at any point of his career, regardless of anything. you know how it goes around here...

He seems like the type of guy to pull an Evander Holyfield, James Toney, Roy Jones, but I'm sure he's rich as hell especially his USA earnings translated to PI pesos.
You're not alone, man. Some good fights to be made if he does.

He took a page out of Floyds book, announcing his fight plans the day before Floyd's fight. Oan, I think either one is a good comeback fight. I don't expect him to immediately fight the best. Either one of the two guys will test his chin and he has the boxing ability to win if it gets to dicey in there. That being said its probably rios who he's going to fight. Mike might try to use movement with him, we know Rios won't.
