Ok I can accept that. But also remember that he was accused of other things as well as this incident. Most likely they gave him a harsher sentence due to him getting himself into trouble so much in the last few years. Basically saying "put all this bs behind you and act your ****ing age Floyd."Or he couldve took a deal when he found out how much a trail was going to cost. Remember his lawyers were bleeding him for two years. Plead to a misdemeanor and leave sentencing to the judge. He was probably shocked they gave him jail time. Ive personally never seen anybody get jail for a misdemeanor anything.
I still contend if there was no evidence of the beating he gave her no way he takes a plea. Children's testimony can be very unreliable, especially as time goes on. I have to think any good lawyer would be able to overcome that if that is all they had. The fact that he took the plea makes me think there was some actual physical evidence. Someone in Floyds position wouldn't plea guilty to anything if there was no rock solid evidence.Comment

Nobody here will ever know the truth. These are bottom line posters. These same bottom line posters hate Floyd.
But, to me it's just a bunch of young posters who haven't really experienced life yet commenting on a situation that they are clueless about.Comment

Amazing how far some people go to convince themselves and others that this didn't happen. I'm not one of these guys to point the finger at him or take joy in this. I think it's altogether sad and unfortunate, for her, for him, and mostly for the kids. But to see how hero worship causes some people to think this wealthy guy with all the legal power in the world somehow did jail time for something he supposedly didn't do, there's something very sick about that level of denial. I can see someone saying, "He made a terrible mistake but served his time and is trying to make up for it.". That's sensible. But this denial is just sad.Comment

He admitted he did something, but nothing to the level she described. So take it for what it's worth, to say nothing happened is a bit absurd people, he even said he put his hands on her. He just said that he didn't strike her. Oh well this has nothing to do with boxing why is it in NSB? Isn't this where we go to talk about what's happening in the ring, put this **** in the lounge.Comment
