I can feel where Floyd's coming from. But he should have simply kicked her the **** out. I don't think I'd be ok with my ex getting toned in my house neither. However his fists are licensed. But if he's really blazing miss Jackson den......................

High priced lawyers could drive a truck through the holes in this story.
But the publicity has been great. I laughed at Ruben during the press conference. How many times has he been to jail? Like hes Mother freaking Terrissa or something.
His ex-wife does have a checkered past which totally would have hurt her in court. But the altercation didn't happen at Big Boy Mansion. It happened at another house, which Floyd bought for them.

Yea cause you know they would want video evidence of Floyd beating her up in a house he owned and had the video system put in.

I remember fools on this forum saying it never happened because no pics were released of her with any bruises.
You think a guy of Mayweathers stature and wealth would plead guilty if there were no evidence?
Plea deals are made when the lawyer advised the defendant it will most likely be much worse taking the evidence in front of a jury.
If he never laid a finger on her you think he wouldn't fight for his innocence and sue her for defamation of character. How many endorsements dollars and marketability has this cost him.
Pacquiao gets accused of steroids he sues the crap out of Floyd and Golden Boy.
Floyd gets "falsely" accused and he decides to go to jail for a few months. Makes sense....if your firmly on Floyd's nuts.

I hear what you're trying to say, but that doesn't mean much in the court of law. Plea deals are usually what gets taken, even when guys are innocent. An innocent guy, if the plea deal is quite light, usually will accept it to avoid a way harsher penalty if convicted. Also, taking things to trial will only drag the case out even longer (and who knows for how long). Meaning, you'd be wasting quite a bit of money in legal defense. Better to either settle out of court or take the plea (if it's light).

Or he couldve took a deal when he found out how much a trail was going to cost. Remember his lawyers were bleeding him for two years. Plead to a misdemeanor and leave sentencing to the judge. He was probably shocked they gave him jail time. Ive personally never seen anybody get jail for a misdemeanor anything.

Guilty in a court of law and guilty in the court of public opinion are 2 different things.

Mayweathers appeal IMO is in part because he looks like a kid and acts like a thug. Like ODH said in the CBS special- "its believable".

People wont mind payin $70 dollars to see a great boxer who acts like a thug. No one is paying $70 to watch a thug box. If his son testifies floyd goes from the former to the latter.
