Lots of talk about nutrition and diet in here. Can't speak much on the subject as I don't know enough, but one thing I can say is you have to admire Floyd's work ethic for being able to stay close to his fight weight year round.

Very few fighters I know do this. The only other one's I can think of is Hopkins, and to an extend Marquez.
Probably why they're considered among the best and have consistently been on the top 10 p4p for years.

Fats don't cause the body to gain weight, only carbs do. After you eat carbs, your body has a high amount of glucose in it and your pancreas releases a large amount of insulin to to rid the body of high glucose levels. Insulin tells the body how much fat to store from the food consumed.

Fats do not cause an insulin release because they do not contain glucose, so they can't themselves be stored as fat in the body. Insulin removes glucose from the bloodstream and the body breaks it into glycogen which is already in the muscles and liver. Once the body reaches it's maximum storage level, the remaining glucose that hasn't been converted to glycogen gets stored in the body as a fat.

Insulin inhibits the production of fat burning enzymes so the more carbs you eat, the more at you gain and the less you burn.

Sugar is poison, homie. If your ice cream is loaded with sugar, it is bad for you.
If this is how Floyd really eats, he is going to start to develop health problems shortly after his retirement.

His statements are scientifically accurate. If BBQ lovers are fat its probably because of the high amounts of sugar and other crap in their BBQ sauce and the fact that they drink Dr. Pepper instead of water.

Doesn't make sense. Fruit is very high in sugar, but is globally known as healthy and great for weight loss if no fatty food's eaten with them.

natural fructose is slightly different than glucose. not all sugars are the same. and too much fruit WILL make you fat, just like too much of anything will. honey is healthy for you too, and great for weight loss, but its also fructose, and must be manipulated carefully
