I am very disappointed with this article. The writer, whom I thought had a fairly critical eye and prized the truth, should be ashamed of himself for regurgitating the crap from Mayweather's mouth. It's always the same self-glorifying bundle of fantasy and major untruths, The boxing "Sir Galahad" and drek of this kind. the writer has no business to even pretend that he believes it.By Jake Donovan - The staying power of Floyd Mayweather Jr. remains evident, whether or not he’s fighting.
The sport’s pound-for-pound king returns to the ring this weekend, which naturally means his name is mentioned at every turn. But when he fights is not the only time anything Mayweather-related surfaces in conversation.
Long before he announced that Robert Guerrero would be next in line, nary a discussion took place involving a fight in or around the welterweight division that didn’t include Mayweather’s name.
There was of course the Pacquiao debate, at least until the Filipino found himself sprawled out on the canvas in his fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez last December. Now attention has turned to whether or not he will one day face unbeaten Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
The lucrative six-fight, 30-month contract leaves plenty of time for Mayweather to answer that question. All he has to do is win Saturday night’s pay-per-view headliner at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and it’s his name that will remain first and foremost on the tip of boxing’s collective tongue. how do I know? And you know this how???? You must have inside knowledge of what's happening in Mayweather's Promotion Company, is that what you want people to think? Or are you just another hater, here to voice your ******ity about the sport & the guy leading the pack? Man, if you have any love for the sport you would just swollow your tongue & enjoy the next 30 month in hopes you get your wish you pray for everytime Floyd steps in the ring and that's to see him lose. I mean come on, how many time the guy has to tell you that what you see on TV is for shock/entertainment purposes? It was ok for the great Ali to do it & people bought into it, but the American boxing fans of today are so filled with hate & envy, they take their hate for a man they don't even know to another level. When in fact at the end of the day it's just entertainment at the highest level. But hey, who am I to judge, it's just my opinion..........
Floyd's promotional company been on the scene for a while now and they haven't gotten sh-it going. basically Floyd is the company, and Floyd ain't even promoting his own fights... GBP is! thats how I knowComment

Sounds like he trying to make up for his low ratings article of the mayweather doc, Floyd probably threatened to cut off access to boxingsceneI am very disappointed with this article. I have faith in Floyd's boxing ability as much as I do in his team's ability to make sound business decisions. Mayweather promotions will be around for long after Floyd retires.Comment

Doesn't he still owes 50 cent , or did he forget that too? Lol if he does his friends that way I wonder which way he'll do his boxers , he'll probably forgets to pay them tooComment

Say Hello to the next Don King
Just wait until he starts losing money in the promotional company and he has to start rigging fights. Its not easy to count on others to do the winning for you.
Anyways I can see him going far in promotion, having a good career there too, as long as he works well with others bc he's not the only company. His promotions will sell pretty good early and then we will see the quality of the product. He should be able to restock his stable fairly easily.Comment

Incorrect on all accounts.
Nearly every lead writer this week is writing on Floyd, which in and of itself speaks volumes of his popularity, since Guerrero is also "the star" and Klitschko is also fighting this weekend. Anyway, I went after an angle that wasn't already taken since my "idea" will be written by at least two other site writers before Saturday night.
Floyd has never threatened B-Scene with lack of access. In fact we were one of the few sites with whom he granted a significant amount of media time. MaxBoxing apparently wasn't on that list, according to their most recent Floyd-related video anyway. But B-Scene has a great relationship with everyone in the industry.Comment
