The sport’s pound-for-pound king returns to the ring this weekend, which naturally means his name is mentioned at every turn. But when he fights is not the only time anything Mayweather-related surfaces in conversation.

Long before he announced that Robert Guerrero would be next in line, nary a discussion took place involving a fight in or around the welterweight division that didn’t include Mayweather’s name.

There was of course the Pacquiao debate, at least until the Filipino found himself sprawled out on the canvas in his fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez last December. Now attention has turned to whether or not he will one day face unbeaten Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

The lucrative six-fight, 30-month contract leaves plenty of time for Mayweather to answer that question. All he has to do is win Saturday night’s pay-per-view headliner at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and it’s his name that will remain first and foremost on the tip of boxing’s collective tongue. I agree with the bold. It seems as though most if not all of their business will be ran through Golden Boy Promotions, just as they do now. They'll only be part of the co-promotion, and will have to pay GBP.

One thing that GBP is maximizing at the moment though, is hosting fights at the new Barclay's Center which is very smart. People just want a reason to come to the new venue, and surely it helped boost sales for the Hopkins-Cloud fight, Judah-Garcia, and the upcoming Hopkins fight.

Mayweather promo has a couple hispanics on its roster, but to say the demo it is targeting is the weakest and is the poorest is a ridiculous statement - who is the p4p best in the game? Who just inked the biggest contract in sports history.? I believe in the diversity thing but facts are facts - tune in to watch him qin or tune in to watch him lose either way you are a fan (be it a negative or a positive won)

Mayweather Promo should snatch up Rigo if Arum tries to let him go. That would be cool to see Mayweather putting his face out there to get a larger audience excited about Rigo. They both got crazy technical skills

If you have doubts about Mayweather Promotions..........watch at the 9 and 10 year old kids that are training in his gym.........watch Cash Flow and DJJ Zamora............that's only two kids out of a bunch that train in his gym and are more skilled and insightful than a lot of professional boxers, Mayweather is gonna have a roster of pure talent, meanwhile he's most likely gonna recruit talented young boxers, he has an eye for talent and his name is the biggest name in boxing so I personally don't doubt that Mayweather Promotions can be as big as Golden Boy Promotions, we'll see

Your comment is right on point, it would be great to see Rigondeaux go to Mayweather Promotions, Rigo has trained in the Mayweather Gym with Roger, Bob Arum doesn't even show any enthusiasm when they ask him about promoting Rigo, Rigondeaux do gots mad mad mad skills
