Why take an tougher opponent when he can make as much $$$ fighting someone that wasn't good enough to be his sparring partner? It's all about making money and racking up wins fighting the weakest challenges he can get away with. He requested his mandatory against Povetkin to be pushed back to fight this guy, that could have been the fight that was happening this weekend.

The Italian is the same type of fighter that many champs with long title reigns have fought.

Exactly. There's no reason to get hysterical about this, all of the great past HW champs fought their share of 'cans'.

And Pianeta is a decent opponent for a voluntary. The haters need to get over themselves.

Difference is this is 3 out of his last 4 opponents to be like this and even many Klit fans were saying Thompson was BS because he already beat him. Its understandable evey once in awhile, but this is becoming a sad habit.

It happens. Larry Holmes fought more cans than I care to remember and even the great Ali fought his share of real cans in title fights.
