Has anybody even secured an opponent yet? Is Bradley/Marquez signed?

Marquez vs Bradley is going to be a staring contest.

It's already up on Boxrec, so it probably means they at least have an agreement in place.

Canelo/Cotto is probably the more entertaining match-up, while Bradley/Marquez is the more competitive one.

truth is canelo doesnt even have to fight cotto, he can fight someone else and it will still draw more people than marquez and if i were canelo i'd do it just to rub it on marquez's face...

marquez has always been jealous and had animosity towards canelo because of the attention he gets......september 14 will probably put marquez in a deep depression when he sees the arena empty and hears the numbers from the mgm

no point in mentioning bradley, he barely sold 1,000 tickets at the home depot center

CAnelo is such a diva lol. If Floyd decides to fight in that date cAnelo won't be a main event anyway

Have they confirmed that JMM/Bradley is on PPV yet. Bradley doesn't sell anything and no one has paid for JMM unless he is fighting Pac (see his PPV numbers vs Juan Diaz)
Canelo vs. Cotto seems like the obvious choice and I don't think they are moving for any Top Rank card.
As for Floyd, seems pretty apparent that he has no intentions of fighting in September, otherwise Golden Boy wouldn't be having Canelo talk about September.
Perhaps Arum was right and Floyd was just doing Golden Boy a favor by talking about the date and letting them book the venue for another one of their guys, presumably Canelo.

I see all this debate and was wondering if the fights were secured. Not to long ago Oscar had said that he had a historic fight for Canelo and in the end it was against Lopez. The even is always who is the foe they are fighting and with out that part so much they can do with the date.

I agree that Cotto/Canelo would be the more entertaining match cause they are two offensive fighters

Floyd has a big PPV in less than a week, it would be foolish and unprofessional for a man of his status to be talking up future plans, be it against Cinna Buns or any other opponent. I'd wait after May 4th to see what Floyd has in store for the rest of the year. People are already shooting down a Mayweather-Canelo fight, but they need to be patient and see what comes into play.
