Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez appeared on a recent edition of BoxingScene Radio to speak on a variety of topics including his big win over Austin "No Doubt" Trout. There were 39,247 in attendance to witness Alvarez's biggest win to date in his young career. Alvarez said he felt honored to have such tremendous support.

"It felt good and more than anything I feel very grateful. It motivated me a lot to train hard and make sure I got the win knowing that a lot of fans were going to be there," Alvarez stated.

The only way Canelo out sells Marquez is if Canelo fights either Cotto or Mayweather. Anyone else will fall short from Marquez-Bradley.

Isn't Mayweather on this date aswell? Would be interesting to see if he really is "cinco de mayweather" going up against Marquez or Canelo

I struggle to see where Mayweather fits in, GBP didn't even mention him as a possible opponent for Canelo, they mentioned Martinez, Cotto and Angulo, it's obviously gonna be Cotto. Floyd will probably fight some time in December I think.

The article seems to state that Canelo-Cotto will be on "free" Showtime, not PPV.

Read between the lines...if Canelo's fighting on 9/14, Mayweather ain't.

So if Canelo doesn't fight Floyd will Showtime be putting Floyd and Canelo on the same card? Hmn......

Barring a loss or injury Mayweather will fight on 9/14. Please believe that. Showtime is putting a lot into Floyd. This deal was based on Floyd being more active than he has been in the last five years.

Poor Marquez, he has great fighter status but not superstar status... people will definitely watch Canelo vs Cotto.

If Floyd really wants to fight again in Sept, he better fight Canelo cuz a fight with Devon is not gonna cut it. I see Floyd fighting again in May next year and Cotto will be the guy to fight Canelo. Ill have to watch that fight over JMM-Bradley first if it goes down.
