but here were my initial impressions:

      Martinez

      Martinez
      Martinez
      Murray
      Murray
      Martinez
      Murray (kd)
      Murray
      Murray
      martinez
      martinez

Would you at least admit it was close, though?
It was a close fight. Of course. But not all close fights "could have gone either way", nor does it mean one guy couldn't have decisively and clearly won the fight.

I thought he won rounds 4-6 clearly. Lederman like always has some influence on the way people would view those rounds though.I just remember thinking if Lederman has the scorecards like that, then you have to double that on the official scorecards. But surprisingly the scorecards were not as bad as I thought they would be. Lederman's scorecards still garbage though.

I had Murray winning the fight.

Sergio has just become predictable. Same two punch combo, tires out after the fifth round, and goes down easy. I thought Murray won the entire second half of the fight dominantly and scored a couple knockdowns.

For most of rounds 6-10, he was by far the more effective fighter, probably more so than Sergio was at any point, but each round is equally weighted.
And Sergio was more effective beyond doubt? Based on what? Him putting his hands down, showboating and screaming to the fans?

The rounds Sergio won are the ones that could have gone either way, if anything.

He has always been predictable, but fast enough to get away with it. he is slowing down now and will suffer the Roy Jones Jr route in his next couple fights

Round 7 wasn't that the round Murray outlanded Martinez 20+ punches to 12 or something? LOL

Doesn't matter. A close 10-9 round is worth the same as a one-sided 10-9 round.

Martinez hit gloves on a lot of his punches and Murray landed the harder and cleaner punches. Murray also scored a KD and should of had another one, and the ref called a low blow on a clear body shot that hurt Martienz and if the ref had not called a phantom low blow, Martinez could of even been put down another time because it clearly hurt him.
Except Murray wasn't credited with a second knockdown, and he didn't score a hypothetical third knockdown. Fights are to be judged on what happened, not what might have happened or should have happened.

Murray also landed more punches, landed with better accuracy and snapped Sergio's hear back constantly.
Murray consistently landed well from rounds 6-10. He didn't do much or didn't do much more than Sergio in many other rounds, and each round is weighted equally.
