QUOTE=paulf;13300559]Arreola has the tools to win and be competitive, but all the talk of taking his career seriously and losing weight ended up as just that; all talk. Dude weighed basically what he did when he said that he had to lose weight to compete at a world level.

Makes me think of a quote by another limited but powerful fighter.

"That's where your roadwork shows. If you cheated on that in the dark of the morning, well, you're going to get found out now, under the bright lights.” - Joe Frazier[/QUOTE]

    I hear ya

Stiverne wouldn't last long against Klitschko, but he'd beat Wilder.

Why did Arreola ever take that year long hiatus. After the Adamek loss, he seemed to have gotten in shape and fought every few months for a good period of time. Then nothing, he just took a long ass layoff.

I guess he got tired of living the lifestyle of a real athlete for half a year.

"shock"? Not one bit. I always said this guy wasn't good. Exciting doesn't equate to being good. People see his highlight KO's and they assume he's good. Another hype job bites the dust. ALL heavyweights suck.

I had it 116-111 for Stiverne.

I had it 116-111 Stiverne too, and I thought the 12th was borderline 10-8 without a knockdown.

I wasn't surprise at all. I called it for Stiverne by KO and nearly got it right. Damn, was thinking very seriously on putting a wager on this fight. Some underestimate Stiverne but what they don't realize is that he has that Mike Tyson type of power but lacks discipline in terms of conditioning.
