I seriously doubt that Mayweather really was serious as to fighting Devon, probably just a way to bluff Guerrero to signing "under his terms" and it worked!! lol

I follow your logic, but at this stage of the game, Floyd doesn't need to bluff on anything to get Guerrero into the ring. Robert is just happy to get he fight he wanted against the sports richest cash cow. I mean, just look at Robert's house - you think he needed to be bluffed into this payday? Truth is, Robert didn't even have a seat at the negotiating table.

I disagree. If Floyd decides to stay at 147 and Alexander keeps winning the fight will happen. Haymon wouldn't be doing his job and GBP wouldn't be doing their job by not getting Devon a fight with the #1 welterweight.

But Devon has to knock this dude out on May 18th and look impressive or its going to be a very tough sell. No "win now, look good later" BS with Lee Purdy in front of him.

Floyd will fight Devon, and possibly Khan. If Berto had not messed up twice he would have fought Floyd. These guys are good fighters at 147lbs and if Bradley beats Marquez he will probably fight Floyd as well.

I think Mayweather does fight again in September he wants to get these fights out of the way. He just signed a six fight deal with Showtime he wants to to do these fights then retire from the sport.

What a way to do that by fighting two times a year on Mexicans holidays. The sad thing is I think he will fight Alexander in September.

If he does I am not buying that PPV no way I don't even care who's on the undercard.

But hes fighting Guerrero not Alexander. Do you really think Floyds fighting Alexander? Would you bet your childrens college fund on it? You guys are like a bunch of kids trying to open your christmas presents early. Let the man beat Guerrero first.

Something tells me that this will bite arum in the ass glong against the ginger who is more popular than marquez in mexico even after he demolished pac and bu him going against bradley dont know. Now if it was pac vs marquez then the ginger would of been moved to another date. Plus golden boy reserved it first. If its canelo vs cotto i see canelo selling more you have the tican vs mexico rivalry there. Im sorry but bradley doesnt bring anything to the table

That’s wrong. He shouldn’t do that, but we don’t think Mayweather is going to fight Sept. 14 anyway. Exactly! This is why I don't get why people on here say Mayweather would out sell Marquez on Independence Day. And if Mayweather is NOT fighting Canelo in September and fights someone else, I don't even know why Arum would choose to move the Marquez vs. Bradley fight. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I willing to bet real money that Mayweather CANNOT out sell Marquez on Independence Day, if they go head to head on PPV, unless Mayweather fights Canelo...

Alvarez should be the right opponent for Mayweather if he decides to fight on a Mexican holiday. It seems clear, correct me if I'm wrong, that Arum will go ahead with the date if Floyd fights a non-Mexican opponent.
