I have to agree, that meal ticket/cash cow, has now been exposed. If it wasn't for Rigo expecting a clean break when they were coming out of a clinch he would have got the knock down. I had Rigo winning every round, but the scoring was as bad as it normally is when Top Rank is in the house. Nonito got schooled and the guy looked confused that he couldn't walk through Rigo like he has done most of his easier opponents. But Nonito only has himself to blame, i don't think he took the fight seriously enough & history has seen what happens when a fighter doesn't take every fight seriously. They get schooled, just ask Nonito!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget they will not let Rigo use his left hand or punch Donaire in the same eye again!!! But with all those rules in place I still got my boy Rigo
Yea, they might ask him to tie his left hand to his back but... he still got his right hook baby!

I don't buy that whole he didn't take the fight seriously excuse. Even if he didn't and he does in a rematch... he gets schooled again. This is the top level they're fighting on not a 4 rounder vs a 1-3 opponent. Who doesn't take their opponent seriously?

the more this guy talks, the lower he drops on my personal rankings. LOL.

IMO, donaire was a bonafide p4p fighter, he proved it based off the opponents he had available. he ran through them all, and in exciting fashion.

like i continue to say, these people ****ting on donaire is basically ****ting on rigo... if donaire was some hypejob bum? then what does that make rigo? why act like that win was impressive?

IMO, donaire is legit... he just got outclassed by a superior boxer with a watertight gameplan.

I think that doing immediate shoulder surgery is the icing on the cake for a cop out. First cop out was most of the training was done over the phone. Well maybe they'll step it up to Blue Ray 3D or Skype. LOL

I remember around the Mathebula and Nishioka fights he was posting pictures in FB of his meals. He was talking about the difference of not cutting much weight and he was able to eat a lot in comparison to the lower weights. Now that he gets beaten by a better fighter he is talking about how difficult it is for him to make weight and he has been saying it for a while. How can anyone believe this guy? He still thinks he won the fight. Too many Yes People around him.

Donaire had been vocal about his struggles to make the 122 weight limit in his recent fights which has led to leg cramps dating back to his title unification bout last August against Jeffrey Mathebula. But there is one fight that will motivate him to continue shedding that extra weight, and that is a rematch with recent tormentor Guillermo Rigondeaux, who now holds the WBA and WBO belts. I agree with Nonito. He's better than Rigo, Hatton is better than Floyd and Manny, Vargas is better than Tito and ODH, Pipino Cuevas is better than Hearns, Floyd Patterson is better than Ali, and Marvis Frazier is better than Tyson.

The only reason people are "****ting" on nonoto is because he keeps coming up with excuse after excuse. He is a good fighter but he was overrated heavily in my book. Hell he even made excuses even after some victories LOL

See, I don't like this kind of attitude from Donaire. He had a chance to beat the naturally smaller guy and he got popped up. Now he is like "you move up in weight and I'll definitely beat you"....you fought at his natural weight class man, you had proven that you could dominate there against lesser comp but you failed against Rigondeaux.

Floyd may be the best p4p in the world but if he fought Steve Cunningham, I don't think he would win. If he fought Golovkin at 160, I don't think he would win but it's more a factor of weight and size, not skill for skill. Donaire should let it go and move on.

It's sad too because I can remember when I was one of not too many who thought Nonito was gonna be p4p top 3 or so in the world after the Darchinyan win and he had my respect for a great while there. I just noticed a change in his mindset and attitude a year or so ago and I started to turn on him a bit.....he started to get that entitled "pedestal" mentality thing going where guys feel they are too good to lose. JuanMa.....same thing, Rios.....same thing, Khan.....same thing, Donaire......same thing.
