Why are people ripping on Dana White for putting this out there? Fury was the one talking ****. Now he has a chance to see if he'll walk the walk. He bit off more than he could chew, if he's smart, he'd just drop it from here because Cain would DESTROY this guy. Which would give Fury fans more reason to complain if and when the Klitschko brothers whoop him too.

I love both, for what it's worth. Boxing sure could learn from the ufc though.
MMA is still in its infancy. The vocabulary for the sport.....what techniques stay and what goes, are still debatable. For example, mark my words, there will be guys kicking to the head soon, just as Rua showed the logic of a straight punch via Shotokan style movement, some guy will show the logic of a well placed hooking kick. Can you imagine a "hook" thrown at the distance of the legs!

Because MMA is developing no fighter has yet really developed a way to dominate exclusively. People are generally termed generic: "he is a striker, she is a puncher"....yada yada.

These developments make the sport very different from boxing. Boxing has gone through a lot of changes and what we see now is the result. For what it is worth...if you took the old timer boxers they would probably be closer to MMA than Boxing today.

The sport is over 20 years old now you could at leasts say it's in its young adulthood stage instead of infancy. And the guy who uses Shotokan movement is Lyoto Machida and not Rua.

Because kickboxers, Ju Jitsu specialists, Wrestlers, Judo Champions, Karate Champions, Sambo champions, and Mu Thai Champions have all gone to the UFC and have earned their stripes. Boxing fans seem to think that boxing is the only combat sport that gets an exception and doesn't have to prove it self in the Octagon. It's a cowards argument because you will never hear a Ju Jitsu practitioner say to a wrestler "Oh yeah well i bet you can't beat me in a ju Jitsu match" LOL your argument is just a cowards way out.

Actually there have been NFL and NBA players who boxed professionally during the off season, as well as other sports.

Don't know why you're acting all sensitive and getting your panties in a bunch people are talking about Dana White, I never criticized the UFC or mma as a sport so stop crying you pansy ass fruitcake.

Cain is a humble and respectful guy. He would never have called out a boxer, he's just responding to it.

That's why the "mma guys can't go to boxing".
