He's my personal hero, I would give a million just to be able to talk to Corrales.
i met him at Staples Center for a fight card...he was headed down on the escalator...shades and hat...not too many people were around him and when he got down, i yelled 'Chico!' and he straight pointed at me...and walked over towards me and just started talking
i was like man...like we were homeys...this was right before the rematch with JLC...real cool dude...like i said, we talked for about 20mins...then people realized who he was and soon he was getting mobbed...
Ive met alot and they all were pretty cool. Boxers are actually probably the most down to earth atheletes/entertainers
Very down to earth and approachable. Marvin Hagler was a little sullen, but he gave me his IBHOF hat he was wearing and signed it, so that's cool enough for me. Willie Pep (RIP) was one of the nicest people I ever met. He sat with my friends and I for about 15, 20 minutes and just talked us up wanting to know about each of us. He probably forgot about us shortly after, but I'll remember that forever. Foreman was affable, Winky Wright and I talked about how Oscar wouldn't fight him and Vinny Paz was always cool and helpful in the gym.
I met Kessler, after talking boxing with him for like 2 minutes, he said "Oh so you actually know your boxing!" - A week after, at the job, there was a pair of training short, he later told me that he had used them in practice.
I've met him a couple of times, he's really just like one of the guys, very relaxed and humble, but you can feel the kind of focus he also posseses, they guy is healthy, always.

All good guys. Fighters are cool, usually comfortable with themselves outside the ring.
