Both fighters are currently title holders and its only right that ShowTime pick up a unification fight between the two to determine the true king of the 154 pound division.
If these guys ever rematch, I have to favor Lara. Molina is an overachiever who's done a lot with very little. Carlos has used his brains to overcome the limitations of this body. He has no speed and no power. He's relied entirely on his guile and his skill. I have more respect for Molina than most guys with natural talent; but Landy isn't just talented, he's also got good ring IQ. He will adjust to the mistakes he made in the first encounter. The only better fighter at 154 is FMJ.

Just answer me one thing: Am I wrong in saying you scored the fight for Carlos? Hmmm? lol

        Apparently.

Now, let me repeat the question your limited reading comprehension missed. (That means you don't know how to read, by the way.) Am I wrong in saying you scored the fight for Molina?

I agree. And if I recall this fight was made on short notice. It will be a different fight with both fighters having a full 8 week training camp and more footage of each others recent fights to study. Never underestimate the impact of preparation.

Lara will have to mix it up on the inside this time around, I don't like Molina at all, his style disgusts me but he is very effective. He uses feints to get on the inside, and while not all that athletically gifted he has pretty fast foot speed. I don't know if Lara can make the proper adjustments to decisvely take it and looking at the Angulo fight makes me question that even more.

Molina gets knocked a lot for his style, but I don't blame him. The idea is to win. That's not to say I enjoy watching him fight, but I can't fault him either. The guy is short on gifts, so he has to make do with what he was given. I don't think he should fight in a way that would get his lights put out. He'd entertain once or twice, then his career would be over.

You make a good point with Angulo. Like everyone else, I expected Lara to outbox the guy fairly easily. Then again, that was their only encounter. Landy's been in the ring with Carlos before, so there's some precedent. There's more to base your preparation on. Beyond that, Lara's the better fighter. It's quite possible Molina simply had a good night. Not to compare the two, but Douglas had one of those versus Tyson.

If half the things they say about Lara are true, he must have some terrible luck. With Molina he had a tooth infection and various other issues. With Angulo it as the ring, the mat, and the rehydration clause that supposedly applied only to Landy. All I know is, I think Lara's simply the better fighter. I think he was capable of doing better against Molina, while Carlos just looked like Carlos.

I think the angulo fight was very telling for Lara. It told me he has no inside game. And that's a problem. Say what u want about Molina but he's a handful on the inside. I dont see this ever being an easy fight for Lara. In fact, I'd expect the same fight.
