Marquez doesn't seem to be very fond of Canelo. This is the second time he seems sour g****s about him. It's sad because Marquez is an ATG/Legend and Canelo is an up and coming superstar. Marquez should instead big his countryman up. Canelo already has a bunch of critics, for his own countryman to do like this, is sad.

just because marquez isn't nuthugging canelo and calling him elite means he is jealous and bitter? lol marquez didn't say anything wrong.....fact is canelo didn't look very spectacular or elite against trout...and if canelo wants to prove he is this elite fighter, a prodigy and future superstar then he needs to fight the rest of the top fighters at 154 and beat them in dominant fashion (not barely scraping by like he did against trout). the winner of angulo vs lara would be another good fight for canelo..

Why are guys getting defensive because Marquez said Canelo is not an "elite" boxer? It's not like he's lying, and he didn't even say it in a disrespectful manner. Isn't beating the top fighters in and around your division one of the criteria in separating the "elite" from everyone else? Isn't that part of the reason why most are interested in seeing Floyd fight Canelo?
