Marquez was a 2 fight lightweight. Are you saying that its ok for Floyd to have a tremendous size advantage and not the other way around? As it is, Floyd stans made the excuse that Marquez was the number 2 pfp fighter in the world. In most instances, people have Ward at 1 or at least 2.

So, whats the problem again? [Floyd]size doesn't win fights, skills do[/stans]

Floyd's resume at 147 is BS - Hatton who was a 140 pounder, Sharmba, JMM, Tata, Zab, Mosley, Ortiz and Guerrero. Floyd's resume above 135 is a smokescreen. Just compare it to Pacman's resume, Cotto's resume, Margarito's resume, PWill's resume. Now, he's going to fight Canelo? No way, he's got a much tougher fight in Guerrero cough cough. Guerrero is so tailor made for Floyd, he should be as easy picking as Ortiz was, let's see if Floyd has slowed down a lot.

The fight negotiations will "fall apart" due to money, maybe some contract issues, or maybe Mayweather chooses to go into retirement again rather than take that fight.

Just like Guerrero, Mayweather is going to find a beatable fighter who's stock is high. Sergio Martinez would be a credible opponent who has looked vulnerable recently, so maybe Mayweather takes that fight instead.
Shoot, what you talking about Willis? Half the peeps on here are claiming Trout was robbed and that Canelo "looked like ass". Floyd should be announcing that fight the day after the Guerrero match so he can "take the kid's soul" and "get that easy money".

Its always a crack up to see Floyds fans have more confidence than he does that he easily beats these fighters he never steps in the ring with.

ala Larryx, "he would beat them anyways, so why even bother stepping in the ring with them"

Yea, he actually said that once.

Floyd's next fight is going to be against Alexander or Danny Garcia if he wins against Judah, that's almost guaranteed. He'd rather go after someone that is coming up in weight ala Sharmba, Zab, Hatton, Ortiz, Guerrero. Floyd doesn't like to fight guys who are naturally bigger cause he struggles, DLH and Castillo. He's older now and he's supposed to pick apart the bigger Alvarez at 154, no way! I say Alexander or Garcia.

I won't say he looked that good but he showed he's getting better as he gets older and that he hits hard. Throws with bad intentions man.

I forgot about Garcia but I thought that he is part of that tourney thing? If he beats Judah he's supposed to fight the winner of Peterson-Matthysse.

Sure, no need to fight dude when he's so far beneath you. They might be able to take Floyd's trash out or something but that's about it.

I'm not trying to make a thread that says "Floyd ducks people". No point in doing that because everyone, whether on either side, has already made up their mind about that issue.

I'm just making a plain prediction: Alvarez and Mayweather DOES NOT happen.

We will get some crap reason, don't know what it's going to be, but the fight is not happening. If you look at Floyd's pattern of opponents, anyone can clearly see that he does not take this fight.

He might end up giving Marquez a rematch since Marquez is at a high point after the last Pacquiao win, maybe even Sergio Martinez (if you look at Martinez's last few fights he is vulnerable and will probably lose soon).

Alvarez thinks in the ring, he boxes and changes angles, he is smart, and he is young, fast, and strong.

I will wager any Mayweather fan on this, with the loser of the bet having to leave boxingscene.com.
