it's more the #1 spot that piques interest
there's 0 justification for Floyd being ahead of Ward
Mosley was shot, Ortiz is pedestrian, and Cotto was badly past it
Shane/Cotto are simply bigger names then Ward's opposition
but Ward's been mopping up ranked SMW guys in succession
he's unified and cleansed his division, claimed lineage in doing so
Floyd's last big win was Hatton in 07
Everyone wanted Floyd to fight Mosley when he did, and would have said he was ducking if he didn't. That was a good win. Marquez was terrible when it happened, but given recent events....not so much.

Ortiz and Cotto were both top ranked contenders where he fought them. Abraham was a Baldomir level or Corley level win for Ward, a decent contender. Froch was a good win, and Dawson would have been a good win if it hadn't taken place at 168.

Ward pissed me off not going up in weight to fight Dawson. Chad wouldn't beat Ward at 175 either, but we'll never know for sure now. The greats go up in weight, they don't force fighters down.

Cotto isn't shot either. He was beaten by better fighters.

I think it's out of order calling him a troll. Just because he works for and advances GBP agenda on here doesn't make him a troll. Dishonest and a snake oil salesman, maybe.

people only "wanted" Shane in lieu of Pac
the guy was shot and his Tony win, while legit, was a mirage
and people need to stop with this Pac-JMM = Floyd-JMM crap
physically, at WW, they're 2 completely different fights
Pac isn't a WW and Floyd is, it's that simple
Ortiz is a credible win for Floyd, nothing more, nothing less
Ward's simply done a lot more in a short span of time
not even figuring the Dawson in into it, just the S6
the recent resumes 09 to now aren't comparable
Floyd being "p4p king" is nothing but a tagline at this point

I have not made a recent top ten list but if I did I think Iwould have Canelo about number ten and ready to go higher with another important win over a top guy like Lara.

why was mosley p4p #3 after beating margarito yet rigo's not on the list at all after beating donaire? garbage. do you really believe that sh-it? it's like quoting compubox in a calzaghe fight. you know he isn't landing! it's a lie!

also ortiz being the second best welterweight, well when you say that you admit that floyd ducked the best welterweight manny pacquiao. the only reason ortiz was 2 was because floyd left the rankings and look at the other guys...berto, senchenko, mike jones, kell brook, jan zaveck, aydin are you kidding me this is a no talent wasteland.

cotto being #1 at 154 um why? what did he do there? he beat the #6 ranked guy and 2 unranked guys #1 for that sh-it? bundrage beat the #2 guy, the #5 guy, and the wbo champ and he was 8 spots lower than cotto? horsesh-it. and you can't say well cotto looked really impressive that's why. that's a damn lie, and if we are only going on how people look against bums why not put canelo at #1? he dominated more than cotto.

these were all fake rankings or at best fluke rankings(enter floyd)and you know it. these guys were not the best. they were 1 win wonders or in cotto's case on a bum parade spree. real deal fighters don't score 1 fluke win then vanish off the face of the earth. only real deal fighter to ever do that was carlos baldomir. damn that guy was good.

Canelo proved to be better than I thought (he has improved considerably since his first few title fights), but his display Saturday wasn't P4P material and neither is his resume (at present).
I scored a razor thin decision for Canelo. Other than that, I totally agree
