No way man , 8-4 to Canelo plus the kd . He was more agressive and landed the better shots trout was fighting scared at times IMO and the fact he accepted the loss so easily says it all

I thought Canelo was fighting scared at times, but oh well whaddya know. I must say a lot of the rounds could have gone either way it wasnt a robbery by any stretch of the imagination but the way the judges had it was an attempted robbery for sure...

Reality is, very very close fight which could have gone either way. I scored it for Trout by a point. The judges scorecards were luadcrus. IMO you can't win a fight by one or two more power shots, a lot of rounds Trout was out boxing Canelo, making him look silly and tagging him with good shots. Canelo would rally late on but it shouldn't be enough for him to take the round.

At some moment in the fight I agree it was difficult to score, Trout was often more active and Canelo was landing few but good punches.

At the end of the day I have Canelo winning the fight comfortably, not by a wide margin but comfortably, the reason is that to me Trout didnt land one significant punch during the whole fight. I can't give the fight to a guy who didnt land anything meaningful, even after the fight there was absolutely no mark on Canelo's face.

Seriously though, there is a case for Trout winning but when everyone in your house scores a very close fight the same way you can probably put it down to group-think.
