Canelo has trained there before and his stamina has ALWAYS looked the same. Only reason it looked worst today was because he was hit by a real JMW, a light hitting one, but a real one nonetheless.

This^^^^^. I noticed that as well, by the 5th he was gassed. The 6th, it was extremely apparent. Trout was gassed by then, too. He spent a lot landing a bunch of hard shots at the end of the 6th, but he seemed to be turning the tide in his favor; imposing his size on Canelo--which is why I was surprised when he got dropped to start the 7th. He put in solid work up to that point.
All I could think during the fight was what would it be like if Kirkland could take Canelo's punches in the first 2-3 rounds? Or if Angulo could have fought Canelo before Kirkland broke him in Mexico. Or if Lara could get a shot and take him into deep water.
I actually think we learned more about where Trout is at after the fight.
Canelo gasses to quickly and doesn't throw enough combos to beat Floyd Mayweather. I see him doing good the first 4 or 5 rounds and then Floyd takes over and goes to work on him.
after watching yesterday fight i think it would be easy work for mayweather.canelo himself is a very inactive he doesn't throw that much and honestly didn't land that much just more than trout did well power shots atleast and he did look tired after he knocked trout down from 7 on
the same kirkland that should have lost to molina and got floored by angulo and knocked out by ishida?
Yeah, the one that didn't want to be hugged by another man for 36 minutes... the one that got up and floored Angulo in that same round en route to a stoppage... that lost to Ishida in 2011 after doing a 2-year stint. Meanwhile Alvarez was beating spectacular opposition in career welterweights like Kermint Cintron, Matthew Hatton, and Alfonso Gomez.
