Canelo was supposed to fight on Floyd's undercard to build up Floyd-Canelo.

Canelo was supposed to fight some stiff in May but he kept pressing for Trout. Canelo's manager and GBP did not want the Trout fight because they didnt want the possiblity of him loosing. Canelo got his trout fight and then he wanted Mayweather to sign a contract for september already when there was a good chance he could loose that fight. Well he aint in the position to make those demands. He threw a hissy fit because floyd wouldnt sign that crap before the outcome of his may fight and then he jumped ship to have his own (NON PPV) fight in April.

Canelo was 172 today. He could make that fight but he wont. Think about it, Martinez is less than 5 pounds more than Canelo is on fight night. And if Canelo had to weigh in at 160 and not 154, he would probably weigh MORE than Martinez on fight night.

The fact that Mayweather lowers everyone's output, combined with the fact that Alvarez barely punches, doesn't bode well for Canelo. I think Mayweather dominates that fight.

Off course , Canelo is a big strong 154 , and the difference is Floyd is a small to medium WW , Id like to see Canelo fight either Serio or Golovkin , you dont see them calling for those guys because Canelo gets put on ice .

All the guys going up are fighting fighters that came from their divisions or are small in their division , you dont see the little guys going up and fighting the big guys at their natural weight , Floyds biggest opponents all came from LW JWW , they not true 154s , just small ones that grew into the small end of the division , you cant play around with real size in legit fights , it has limitations to how much you can afford to give away , unless its Manny weight because then you weaken the bigger guy and then big guy advantage is not equal , its now a handicap .

Cant have Floyd having a Manny weight of 150 can we , even though 154 Canelo would KO 154 Margo inside 4 rounds , the double standards on this board concerning Floyd is amazing .
