(VIDEO) Larry Merchant says Mayweather will not fight Canelo

Sekbach got the exclusive, Merchant was broadcasting the international feed of Canelo Trout. There is a reason why Floyd didn't want to sign an agreement to fight Canelo next, Canelo is a huge draw look at the stars and fans showing up tot his fight 40k seats, Floyd wants money he gotta fight Canelo next for that gwap.

Pretty sure Larry is right. Floyd won't take that risk.

Reasonable observation. Floyd is talking about a 30 month run as if it's a foregone conclusion that he will run through 4 or 5 opponents.

By that logic, it's safe to assume that he isn't in a hurry to face a 22 year old boxer who could end his run prematurely. Maybe, save him for last.

Didn't HBO already expose his contract to be a one fight deal?

I think Mayweather wants to say in the WW division. I don't want to see the fight unless Canelo moves down to 147, and that's not happening. There is only one meaningful fight for Mayweather and that is Pacquiao.

I dont blame floyd, who will want to face suck a elusive slick boxer as canelo who has the heart to turn into a puncher at any given moment.

Mayweather will duck Canelo like the plague, as he's been ducking prime fighters all along. Floyd DUCKER Mayweather is scared to death of real challenges.

That's just what Lampley claimed on some radio show, we don't know if its true, its possibly posturing on Floyd;s part to see if HBO will come back to him with a better offer after the Guerrero fight.
