SAN ANTONIO — Mexico's Saul Alvarez unified the super welterweight titles by unanimously outpointing American southpaw Austin Trout over 12 rounds on Saturday at the Alamodome. Alvarez (42-0-1) successfully defended his WBC title and won the WBA and Ring Magazine super welterweight championships, receiving winning scores of 115-112, 116-111 and 118-109. Alvarez's brother, Rigoberto, lost the WBA title to Trout in February 2011 in the family's hometown of Guadalajara.

The Mayweather fans posing as Trout fans could learn a thing or two from Trout. Of course, they won't; that would require the ability to learn.

Disagree with his assessment of the fight, but a nice, genuine guy.

If Trout honestly believes this....he's delusional.

How can you win a fight taking off 80% of every round, landing 2-3 good punches that are eye catching, getting out thrown and out worked by over 300 punches, getting out landed almost every round, and not controlling the pace of any of the rounds???

lol @ thinking just because Trout said this after the fight, that it gives credibility to which fighter actually won.

Donaire said he beat Rigo, and watched the fight again and said "oh, i did lose."

get real fools, trout won this fight

Much respect for Trout, man is a stand up guy. Now if the haters would only come to realization like Trout did. We wouldn't have these cry baby haters!
