  • WAR CANELO!!! hahaha I knew there would be some Canelo haters *****ing about how he won or trying to come up with an excuse for Trout. So after this great performance, is Canelo still a hype job ?

i can say it was close and could see 115-112 for canelo, i had 115-112 trout. Neither of them looked great and neither of their stock went up since they didnt show anything really. I think most people are mad at the scoring of the other 2 judges and people are acting like that as a good score

OK. How can an "independent body" finance itself? Do you think they work for free for Showtime? I think they get a cheque after the fight... Still maybe it doesn't matter and they are independent, just like the judges

Listen you can skip the condescending "little buddy" stuff. I said people..if that doesn't apply to you please let the "generalization" roll off you. As I stated you guys can go watch the fight and count the punches for yourselves and i'll respect whatever number you come back with...until then i'm standing by the company whose job it is to count punches.

When you said, "hit and not get hit", I was following you. But then you said Trout...?

I stopped reading. There is only one guy was NOT getting hit and it was apparent to every viewer, and it was Canelo. He basically started mocking Trout in the middle rounds with his defense.

They have a general contract to cover all boxing events....not just showtime and hbo but all boxing events in the U.S. they are funded via contracts and not from promoters. I agree the judges were complete shiiit

                    • The top and bottom of it is this fight was never gonna be scored fairly after the Canelo vs Mayweather rumours were circulating earlier this year. Showtime aren't ******, thats clearly the money making fight they want to put on so really all Canelo had to do was show up and he was winning this fight.

As for the fight it self. I expected much more from Trout, more movement, more combinations and i thought he'd let that left hand go more but i felt he was a little hesitent tonight. Canelo did have better head movement tonight but in all honesty he was just the same old Canelo, he attacked in spells and landed some impressive power shots, but imo he'd be a sitting duck against Floyd because you simply cannot afford to give rounds away to a master like him. I also think Canelo can't fight inside which is something Trout couldn't do either.

The scoring was embarrassing but whats new? all in all Canelo showed us a few new things about his game and it was close, but his biggest weakness (gas tank) remains the same and it will cost him if he steps into that ring with money may.
