I never was so much, but he made me a fan today. Also, I sort of had hopes for Fury, as a young big, powerful heavyweight who could potentially inject some new excitement into the heavyweight division. I don't anymore.

      You are a dummy then.

If you had hopes before but this fight quashed them you are a bit of a fair weather fan of boxing imo

Fury lost his trainer at the last minute, was fighting away from home for the first time, had an idiot working his corner, used idiotic tactics, was not in the best shape and still got it done.

If all had gone to plan it would have been a lot easier, but his preperation was thrown into chaos so he did the best he could under the circumstances and it was good enough.

Sit your ass down, if you had "hopes" before then you should be a bit more pragmatic and give the kid another chance.

        ^^

Just accept my opinion and live with it, mr. fanboy.

I haven't actually watched a bunch of tape of Fury as wank material or anything like that like some people here apparently do. I have seen him fight, but I never studied him. And I never said I was a fan, although I am a fan of heavyweight boxing in general.

This was his biggest fight to date, and to say I was not impressed is would be a vast understatement. I can't wait to see this big buffoon get his block knocked off, quite frankly.

To me it was kinda funny seeing him get knocked down by one punch from cunningham, but after that all the goading and taunting stopped and fury put on a decent (but panicked) fight.

Cunningham gave up by the 5th round he was just letting Fury lean on him and get in close constantly. What happened to "I'll run rings around him"? time after time he just let a guy who weighs 50lbs more than him stride straight up to him and do what he wanted

I take that as a compliment, seeing as how it is just a butthurt response from a biased fanboy.

I thought it was a really good performance by Fury.

He fights a more experienced, faster boxer in his backyard and Knocks him out in 7

Gets up from a knockdown to win

Most entertaining fighter in the HW division

                Adamek couldn't even do that

Tyson Fury is easily the most entertaining fighter in the division but im not sure if im 100% sold on him especially with how he got dropped against cunningham. His boasting and **** is fun to watch but its gonna hurt him over and over again cause he stops focusing on what to do

Damn I'm late on this fight. great fight!! Steve is a warrior! IDK if I wrote in this thread that I thought Fury might come out trying to look slick against a guy like Steve...figured he would just lose early rounds trying that...not get dropped like a sack! He gets up though so I had confidence he would but it looked bad for a second lol

The fight was rough and awkward at times, even dirty up until the point deduction - but overall the pace was great. After that, both guys were really working and jockeying for position on the inside and that is exactly the type of action I miss in the HW division. Feel kinda bad that STeve got KOed like that but the angle on that punch was pretty crazy

I was laughing at ****m losing his head over Fury's tactics because others like Foreman as a commentator would disagree and think leaning was a smart idea on a smaller guy. Part of the leaning was him being hurt. After a while the action inside got some what fluid, anyway good fight
