A flop could get us Canelo-Mayweather, so this one time I'm not rooting for Showtime.

Showtime CBS has no clue in marketing though, HBO does, Showtime messed up the time slots on this but you can tell this first fight is the most important fight for them with Floyd they are going all out the last week or two before this fight by putting a ton of Floyd fights on CBS and promos, more than they did with Pacquiao, Pac only had a 8 am time slot lol and hardly any commercials, its funny when I watched CBS they would show a commercial for Pac Mosley and than the local cable would cut the commercial short and put one of the local commercials in that slot haahahah ***ed up but true.
This all access is boring, they got Floyd Sr and not even letting the dude talk junk back to Ruben, if this was HBO they would milk the trainers beef, have epic transitions, music, and narration man, the narration is awesome on HBO.
I see Floyd hopping back to HBO, and no way will he fight 6 fights I think that 6 fights crap is bogus especially at his age, what if he wants to retire or he gets hurt showtime can't force him to fight because he has to honor those 6 fights thats why I thought that crap was bogus, this Guerrero fight is going to be grueling for him, the Cotto fight was grueling and that was a shot bloated Cotto, imagine a younger hungrier Guerrero? If Floyd wins he is not going to look at the long haul of six fights if he takes punishment in this fight.

I watched both episodes on the official showtime youtube page, they put it on in the middle of the week, I just flat out forgot about it for both Episodes
Build up is needed for like the Lesser Known Fighters that we don't get to see away form the ring much...More All Access for Trout vs Canelo would have been much better!

The NBA re arranged its playoff schedule for it.
Has nothing to do with Showtime not being ready. Its a **** fight featuring a guy in Floyd who has been doing the same act since 2007 and a guy in Guerrero who nobady outside of hardcore boxing fans could pick out of a lineup.
PED FREE!!!! TAKE THE TEST!!!

Lennox was a HBO fighter and Tyson was a Showtime fighter, it was a strange contract, where both rival networks would work together to get the super-fight done.
Thats why you had bobby cyzz of Showtime and Jim Lampley of HBO calling the fight together.
on showtime he had fought on some low ppv/s like Tyson vs. Botha which did 600k and this was back in 99 before his fight with Lennox.
Tyson's last PPV Tyson-McBride did 200,000 PPV Buys on Showtime

1. The move to Showtime is most definitely going to hurt the ppv numbers due to less subscribers and weaker production, and history says this. See Pac..
2. Mayweather refusing to do a press tour and no real kickoff, faceoff, or buzz.
3. And Pac getting KO'd by Marquez and thus ending any chance at a Mayweather fight, and even if they do, people don't care as much. This hurts both May and Pac, and really PPV boxing in general. Mayweather, Haymon, and Ellerbe could not have timed out this new big guarantee any better than they did.
4. Guerrero just not that great of a PPV attraction. If not for his Dad, I don't think anybody would care one bit about seeing Guerrero, other than the harcore fans. That said, I think it's an intriguing fight.
Prediction for PPV = 1,050,000 - something similar to Mayweather vs. Marquez

Neilsen ratings are complete rubbish. They get their numbers from households that have a special box installed which send the info of what they are watching, shockingly there's only 25,000 homes with these in US. If 1000 of the 25000 households with the box watched the fight that would be 4%, 4% of the estimated 114 million households with a TV = 4,560,000 and that is the number they release.

What hurts it with less subscribers is you have less of an audience on showtime seeing the commercials and promotional stuff for the fight.
