He also doesn't have a glass jaw, he was knocked down because of his style, he was always unbalaned and had his hands down, it's kind of like what happened to a one Muhammad Ali. Does he too have a glass jaw? I'll put my money on Hamed to kick Nonito's a55. I don't know if anyone remembers, but in the first round against Rigo he came out swinging and tried to KO the 'glass jawed midget', Rigo caught him with a left, hurt him and left him cautious the whole night. Rigo is not a well known puncher, Hamed is, wonder what would have happened when a bigger and stronger Naz connected with Nonito's jaw?
People don't realise that Hamed certainly was not his best in that barrera fight.

He was surrounding himself with leeches and hangers on, "yes men" I remember seeing him do some awful padwork and these mates of him just nodding their heads saying "That's it champ "

He'd fallen in love with his power and thought he had a god given right to win.

After that barrera fight steward said he's just not there mentally and hasn't been for a while. Then he fought that chump, looked poor and packed it in.

It's a shame but Hamed just didn't have mental strength in the end.

People disregard that, but to me it's similar to post prison tyson, they just didn't have that champion mentality anymore.

There is a lot of lies and falsity about Hamed for some reason, like he "ducked" people

    Not true

He just gets unfair hate imo

They simply think. "Well, um, Hamed has crazy power, and he does an Ali impression, his style is just like Donaire's!"

          SMDH....
Yeah sure thats all hamed had crazy power even though he had 12rd shutouts against an Olympic gold medalist....another thing if you watch the documentary before the Barrera fight you ll see how angry steward was cos hamed wasn't training not saying he still wouldn't of get bet that certainly wasn't the best hamed

I'll be honest. This is one of those fights you actually need to see in order to see who would come out the winner. I can see Hamed KO'ing Donaire, and I can see Donaire outboxing or KO'ing Hamed.

I think @ 126, Hamed would most likely win. @ 122, and lower, I'd favor Donaire. I don't either of us or right or wrong. Truly a toss up fight. I guess it just depends on who you like more, because honestly, I can see them both winning.

But good post, and I agree that Hamed is a badass.

P.S. I was always a huge Nas fan. Not the rapper.
I tell you... that's a fight that can be billed as a ppv! The athleticism and natural talent that would be on display during that bout--can only imagine, man.

I don't blame you at all, after Illmatic, there's nothing to be fan of haha!

I watched that documentary... apparently he stopped sparring, too. Not a good idea at all.

Yea he never was a great trainer by all accounts and also I think naz was one of them fighters that found it hard to keep hungry whilst getting the big pay days (7 million) against Barrera is to this day unheard of for that weight class

I had no clue he got $7 million for that fight. I knew he was making noise in the boxing world then but didn't know he was getting the checks to match, haha. Yeah, that much money at featherweight.... can definitely see a fighter becoming less-motivated for grueling work.

                      I'd take Hamed over Donaire.
