I listened to the interview, and it did not sound sincere AT ALL. He still had the audacity to say he was still better than Rigondeaux, but that is the initial reason he lost. Because he cannot admit that. Rigo is clearly better than him. The sooner he admits it, the more prepared he would be to fight and MAYBE win against Rigo. Yes, he failed to study Rigo. Where Rigo came from. The harsh world Rigo grew up in that made Rigo who he is today. Which is a much deserving champ. One thing I believe Nonito was right in, was that yes, Rigo did respect Nonito TOO much. Cuz if Rigo wouldve thrown just a bit more punches, and not given the respect he seemed to have for Nonito, Nonito wouldve had more serious problems, possibly wouldve been TKO'd. I think for the rematch, Nonito is going to be outta here via TKO.

Not once he praise Rigo footwork, speed, power, ring generalship, ring IQ or how difficult is to hit a moving target. It was all about him not doing or trying to engage and make a fight. Yeah, that is very classy.... He beat Arce, Nishioka, Mathebula and he is praising him how tough they are and great. He gets schooled and he cant give talk about Rigo skills.

And that night he was schooled in the art of boxing. Rigo landed more and shockingly appeared to have more power than Donaire. And I think that first punch that made him stumble back in the 1st made Donaire scared to just come in. Anyway not a good job of damage control when you start the interview apologizing and then end it with a bunch of excuses, my shoulder, the baby, the weight, I want catch weight for our next fight, I made the fight, didn't study ths guy, I didn't do my game plan etc.. RIGO didn't allow you to do your game plan get it!
Repeat after me. I Nonito am never going to beat you Rigo EVER because your the better fighter so thanks again for your beautiful boxing.

If it were true, Nonito would've followed Guillermo around the ring, throwing punches, the same way he has with everyone else. The fact is, "El Chacal" can crack. Donaire knows that firsthand now.
