I listened to the interview with Nonito, and the only thing he admitted to was defeat, and I don't think he meant it, I think he was just on damage control, Bob or somebody probably told him he was lossing a lot of fans for being a cry baby and not admitting the simple truth, that Rigo is unlike anyone he has ever faced! And that night he was schooled in the art of boxing. Rigo landed more and shockingly appeared to have more power than Donaire. And I think that first punch that made him stumble back in the 1st made Donaire scared to just come in. Anyway not a good job of damage control when you start the interview apologizing and then end it with a bunch of excuses, my shoulder, the baby, the weight, I want catch weight for our next fight, I made the fight, didn't study ths guy, I didn't do my game plan etc.. RIGO didn't allow you to do your game plan get it!
Repeat after me. I Nonito am never going to beat you Rigo EVER because your the better fighter so thanks again for your beautiful boxing.

Rigondeaux is the man and everybody knows this, nothing Donaire says can change this.
Donaire did all the damage control that he could, before he admitted defeat. Their promoter made Rigo look worse, and people who aren't hardcore fans of the sport, leaned towards that alone.
It's not cool. Most guys do say, "Ay, (insert fighter's name) is a great fighter and he gave me a good fight, blah, blah, blah, but then the excuses come afterwards.
Either give the guy his credit and be quiet, or just piss & moan out the gate...but doing both usually doesn't look that great.

it's no biggie, just rest up, go to 126, and take it from there
still hoping the Mares fight comes off at some point
Nonito can take him and he can take Mikey
