anyone can beat anyone, and im wondering now if nito does want a rematch, he won't be that worried about Guillermo's power, he seemed to take it well enough that he could've thrown more. he needs to add to his game big time though

Donaire might be able to beat Rigondo, but maybe not in an immediate rematch. Donaire is gonna have to train with Virgil Hill and learn how to hold-n-hit like Ward to beat Rigondo. After 2 fights (3 if he's busy in the ring) I think he might be ready to chase down Rigondo, hold him, and hit him like Ward and make it a rough fight and grind out Rigondo

I think Donaire could have done more to make the fight uglier for Rigo.
Round 10 should have been round 4 on.

Much props to Rigo though, his game was A+ that night.

Donaire is 31 years old and getting a new trainer will do nothing. He got use to being able to walk down, slower, smaller and older (arce, nishoska) fighters once he got in the ring with a fighter that surpassed his speed and could actually box he had nothing to offer. In the tenth round he got an ugly sort of cheap knockdown and what happened after that? Rigo got up and pasted his ass the rest of the round and fight. I just think Rigo is a technically smarter fighter that has his number.

Donaire gotta be willing to fight ugly and win ugly... that's the only way he beats Rigondo

Assumin donaire gets his shoulder fixed and the fight is at 126-he still doesn't know how to cut off the ring and still doesn't have an asnwer for Rigo's counters.

I agree that anyone can win on any given night, but Donaire lost because he wasnt good enough. If he can get better at this stage of his career, and Rigo starts to slow as he gets above 33, Donaire will have a better chance to win.

That's the thing he can try to make it an ugly fight and Rigo will adjust something donaire hasn't shown he can do.

i think he easily could, winning it back in a similar fashion that rigo won it(winning rounds by a hairs margin)

he just needs to think about winning rounds and not "ko ko"
