I see the Floyd defense force is in almost full swing...just a few ******s short, but they will probably show...

Simple.
Its because Floyd is the measuring stick for every other boxer competing.
When JMM knocked out Pacquiao, no one said "Oh man JMM is better than Martinez". No one mentioned Andre Ward. No one mentioned either Klitschko or even BHOP.
Every time someone demonstrates any measure of elite talent or does something impressive and worthy of note, the ONLY person that any fan compares them to is Floyd Mayweather.
Adrien Broner? Everyone mentions Floyd.
JMM KO's Pacquiao? Immediately Floyd's name is involved.
Rigo schools Donaire? Floyd's name comes up.
Sergio narrowly escapes Chavez jr? Floyd is brought up.
That's just an observation, but its true nonetheless.
Nope. It's because people hold Floyd to such a high standard, without truly dissecting his resume. He looks like a beast against, past prime, tailor made, or c level fighters.
Rigo treated an A+ fighter in their prime, like a kid.
Floyd has yet to do that.
Well that's your opinion.
Because if the facts were a part of your assessment, then it would reflect that Mayweather has consistently faced better ranked fighters over the span of his career.
One fight does not make a legacy or a resume.
If that were the case then Shane Mosley would have been king after he beat Margarito who was ranked #1 at that point. Margarito was considered the most dangerous man at welterweight at that time.
Hailing a man as the greatest because of one win diminishes the sport. Every month we would have the next "best ever".
You assessment is a bit ridiculous and clearly inflated more with fanfare than any real analysis.
How many top ranked fighters has Rigo beaten? The answer doesn't bode well for your way of thinking.
Remember when Devon Alexander knocked out Juan Urango? That KO was probably just as if not more impressive than what Rigo did. Afterwards, what did we see from Alexander? People were calling Devon Mayweather's heir apparent behind that one, single fight.
I don't doubt that Rigo is a solid fighter with impressive skills and heart, but for you to compare him to a man who has been dominant and unbeaten for the last 16 years is premature and honestly a bit ******.
Floyd: 5 Division world champion
Genaro
Augustus
Corrales (prime, undefeated)
Castillo
Corley
Gatti
Judah
DLH
Hatton
JMM
Mosley
Ortiz
Cotto
Rigo's resume won't come close to that.
Rigo is already fighting at his highest weight class, and coming in @ 122 on fight night, MUCH smaller than his opponents, and much smaller than the division he's fighting in. He's doing exactly what you guys (I use that term loosely) praise Floyd for.
He did all this, while schooling a P4P, FOTY in their prime.

I wasn't going to post again, because OP's going crazy about me, but HELL NO. In no way shape or form was Alexander over Urango even in the same book as Rigo over Donaire, let alone the same sentence.
You're right about the hype, but way wrong about the win.
