Its because Floyd is the measuring stick for every other boxer competing.

When JMM knocked out Pacquiao, no one said "Oh man JMM is better than Martinez". No one mentioned Andre Ward. No one mentioned either Klitschko or even BHOP.

Every time someone demonstrates any measure of elite talent or does something impressive and worthy of note, the ONLY person that any fan compares them to is Floyd Mayweather.

Adrien Broner? Everyone mentions Floyd.
JMM KO's Pacquiao? Immediately Floyd's name is involved.
Rigo schools Donaire? Floyd's name comes up.
Sergio narrowly escapes Chavez jr? Floyd is brought up.

That's just an observation, but its true nonetheless.

Nope. It's because people hold Floyd to such a high standard, without truly dissecting his resume. He looks like a beast against, past prime, tailor made, or c level fighters.

Rigo treated an A+ fighter in their prime, like a kid.

Its the worst kept secret in the world that Floyd isnt the best fighter in the sport of boxing.

Rigo beating Donair has made Rigo leap above Donaire on the basis of one fight. Therefore he should leap above Floyd as Donaire is better than anyone Floyd has ever fought.

Floyds supposed to be the best fighter in the world, yet Canelo and Trout are facing harder opponents than Floyd is. SSM is facing harder opponents than Floyd. SSM fought Canelo didnt he, yet Floyd can fight the likes of Guerrero?

Like it or not in every p4p ranking where writers/media vote floyd is #1. I know that kills you. Face it manny and nonito are not considered as good. We get it, you tim, gong love manny and are opening your mouths to nonito. Cool. But whenever credible, objective voting is done floyd is at the top. Instead of *****ing about it, write those guys and ask them why they vote that way.

Who cares about moving up in weight man. Its about the competition you fight and nothing more. I never gave a **** about Vic, Montiel, Nishioka, or old ass Arce. Montiel is the best on his resume. Vic is just some wild swinging brawler. Corrales would have destroyed all of those dudes and he could catch and break down a high movement guy like Freitas something donaire showed he couldnt do against Rigo and Narvaez. Corrales beat Castillo a fighter better than anyone of Donaires resume.

Corrales had a glass chin, the guy was probably down about 20 times in his career and was nothing more than a fatty fighting two or three divisions above his natural weight. The guy had no skill and his only notable wins prior to the Mayweather fight were against bums Garnier and Manfredy. Only God knows how this guy was ranked in the top 10 P4P by the Ring.

It baffles me how anyone can compare Corrales to Donaire...
