He is that, he's just not good enough to sustain that status. Not at this point. He's no better than any of the other fighters at 154. A superstar proves he's better than most, if not all, of the top fighters around him. Saturday proved canelo is still raw and has a long way to go.

you cant be a real star unless you speak some english or try to speak.

I dont understand why some of these mexican fighters dont even try. Is this some point of mexican pride to not try to speak it? I dont know.

you have to speak english otherwise you cant really be a mainstream star.

If yao ming and pacquiao can do it, i dont see why mexicans cant do it.

Maybe because they are from a country that speaks Spanish?

Also, JMM speaks english, so does Barrera and Canelo tries. He's learning, he will be speaking it soon.

messi is a star soccer player, but he really hasnt transcended his sport like Ronaldo. Guess what? Ronaldo speaks english.

If Messi walked the streets of new york nobody would notice him. If he walked the streets of arizona he would probably get racially profiled, possibly arrested by sheriff joe.

his own 60 mins special, the only reason he's not more famous in the U.S is due the nations lack of interest in the sport

he's 100x more famous then pac and yoa ming's bum ass

                      1. that wasnt his own 60 minute special. He had a segment.

                      2. Ronaldo is more famous in the U.S. than him.

                      3. In europe.

Messi is not the superstar that HE SHOLD BE because he doesnt look like your typical superstar. He's short and doesnt have a flashy personality.
