Canelo's got power....but I think people overrate it just a bit after the Lopez fight, because the JWW/WW Lopez made Canelo's power look unreal. He still wasn't able to stop a completely shot Shane Mosley, who hadn't been a legit fight since Floyd in 2010.

Ali had never been stopped by the time he was shot to s**t in the Holmes fight, and Holmes forced a corner stoppage at the least. Mosley was/is basically late 70's Ali shot at this point.

I was expecting a corner stoppage going into that fight, was disappointed that it went the distance.

Mosley has one heck of a chin you know that. No one will ever be able to stop him. maybe in 5 years.

Mosley is completely shot.....if Canelo was some unstoppable beast of a JMW, he would have forced a ref or corner stoppage. A ton of people said they thought Canelo would stop him, as did I, and he didn't. Lopez made Canelo's power look like Foreman in his prime, because Lopez is much much much smaller than Canelo.

So because a few fights fell through.....he shouldn't have fought someone better like Lara, Trout, Molina, or even Bundrage???

We'll find out for sure 1 way or the other about Canelo Saturday. If he beats Trout he's the real deal. I can't wait for this fight.

Mosley is shot but hes chin aint. he was promised the winner of lopez ortiz. everyone thought it was gonna be ortiz but it fell through . just like this fight winner of cotto trout which now he is fighting the winner of them.

The outcome of Canelo/Mosley could be chalked up to inexperience or just having too much respect for your opponent. However, it made me doubt his power/endurance/stamina and whether he has a killer instinct. Never mind everything else that he's yet to prove due to his lackluster opposition.

Trout should be able to let us know what Canelo's made of.

So we're giving fighters' credit for "wanting" to fight people now? Don't forget, he tried to fight Ortiz who was coming off a KO loss, Kirkland who was coming off of shoulder surgery, and Williams last performance was atrocious. His legs against Ishida looked wobbly with every shot he took. He cherry picked all of those opponents.

I think there gonna be a lot of upset people when Canelo loses to Trout. Trout will show the holes in Canelo's game. Trout may not be the biggest puncher but he has skills and he is a slick boxer.
