We all have to thank Donaire.

I made some hard statements about Donaire in the past, not his biggest fan, but he deserves a lot of credit for take this fight. He was the one who could lost more, and we see others fighters refusing his duties with boxing fans for years, avoiding the fights that everybody wants to see.

The first round of yesterdays fight was the most intense 3 min of boxing in years, and we should give Donaire his credit. Thank you Mr. Donaire.

I started to respect Donaire cause he tried to congratulate Rigo in spanish and admitted that Rigo gave him a boxing lesson.

But then... the excuses started spewing out and the audience let him have it.

I dislike him even more now than I did before.

Major props to Rigo, but if it weren't for Donaire they would have been boo'ed all night. Rigondeaux didn't come forward and press the action until the 12th round after landing that punch.

I've always respected Donaire and that won't change now. The fact is you you continually fight the best fighters around your weight class it seems realistic that a loss will eventually happen.

The excuses are natural for fighters. In order to proceed and go from there he needs to make excuse. Some are loud, others not. Some will use excuses that gets them nowhere, other will use better ones like "I need to work allot harder". I can't dislike Donaire because of his stance of random testing and keeping the sport clean but I'm happy for Rigondeaux. Hope he steers clear of the booze and the coke lol. He's something.

It's a sad state of affair when we find it noteworthy that fighters fight who they are supposed to fight.

But yeah, props to Donaire i guess.

The guy came up with 3 different excuses in ONE interview. The shoulder, he didn't study Rigo and the weight. Not cool.

Idk if Rigo uses coke and never heard of it but steering clear of booze I don't think will happen. He has a bright future and he should do so in order to stay in the game longer tho.
