LMAO, Arum........you knew what you were getting when you signed him to a contract, yet you signed him didn't you? The guy is a winner, winners win, that's what they were born to do. You are just mad your pride and joy didn't take this fight seriously and got it handed to him.

lol, nevermind. I commented on this in the other thread, he doesn't sound nearly as upset on video as I thought reading his quotes. he's laughing about it and **** here. It's not a problem to me, but Rigondeaux will only really fight like that against guys with lots of power, guys he needs to be cautious with. Other than that, I expect knockouts. Casual fans won't be booing then

Towards the end, someone asked Bob if he Rigondeaux reminded him of a younger Floyd. Bob said Floyd was good defensively, but Rigondeaux is one of the best he's EVER seen. I really don't think he's undermining him. It's all about putting him with the kind of guys that will rush him or don't have Nonito's power and that will create exciting fights. And there are tons of those guys out there.

Rigo doesn't speak English. He's one of the ugliest boxers on the face of the earth, and he's in a small weight division.

No amount of hype can sell Chacal to the American Public.

Good post. Espn and hbo are now corporate partners with the deal they signed so espn can show ppv higlights. Arum and hbo are essentially working together exclusively. Can't expect balanced reporting of a hbo fight since the hbo/gbp split given this. It was sad to see dan use top rank talking points rather than write about the great boxing skill rigo showed.

Maybe nonito would get better if someone like dan or iole wrote honestly about what happened. Rigo was too skilled for nonito. Nonito needs to Get better or get better excuses.

just saw this in another thread. not nearly as bad as I thought reading the quotes, but either way I don't think it a struggle. No one said this dude was supposed to reach Mayweather-Pacquiao heights. He say, in the video, Rigondeaux has one of the best defenses he's EVER seen, that's pretty big I'd say, having seen so many fighters.

Anyways, put the guy in with the kind of opposition that don't punch as hard as Nonito or will rush Rigo, and he'll produce some fan friendly knockouts no doubt. A step up in weight will garner attention, versus bigger fighters.

Put some old has beens in front of Rigo and watch him destroy all of them like Donaire did. Otherwise stfu and at least pretend to be partial.

Outside of the usual few, no one I know thinks the fight was competitive. Hell even the 10th round got away from Donaire when Rigo got up and put hands on him double time.
