Actually, it's throughout, not threw out, but hey... it's good to see someone acknowledging what they saw. So many Donaire fans now refuse to accept what happened as little more than a Rigo track meet. Cong**** to you for being open minded.Like I mentioned before in another thread...Was I really WRONG!!!! I was telling everyone how Donaire was going to either KO Rigondeaux or win a clear decision when Rigo felt his power & got on his bike to survive... But instead Rigondeaux boxed beautifully & dictated the pace threw out the whole fight, even after he suffered the knock down!! At one point Donaire looked lost, confused & scared to throw cause Rigo was countering the S H I T out of him!! & the very few times Donaire landed a good shot, Rigo retaliated right back with a better one!! Rigo didn't land more cause he didn't throw more, but if he would have thrown more, who knows if he would have probably stopped Donaire..Last night Rigo made Me a believer!!! Great win & great performance by Rigondeaux & his team...Now ¿What fight were the judges watching? I understand that it's not the same watching fight live at a arena or in last nights case, at a theater than watching it on T.V, but to have it that close! The ONLY round I saw Donaire win was the round he dropped Rigondeaux & if he had not dropped him, that would have been another round for Rigo.. Even the 116-111 that Julie Lederman had was too close! But at least the right guy won the fight...Comment

Luis, great read and review of the fight. I enjoy the boxinglab program very much and usually tune in every Tuesday. You and Burton have always sounded pretty excited about Rigo vs Donaire and normally seem professional and unbiased in your opinions.
However that ernest gabion fellow was always downplaying the possibilities of this match being made never mind Rigo winning and sounds like a huge Rigo hater. How are you able to deal with that guy? He sounds pretty douchey and at times it seems like you want to strangle him over the phone.
BTW... you are a pretty bad ass translator and deserve more credit for it. And if you can tell Ernie damit305 says hi.Comment

Oh for sure! May would have boxed circles around Manny, Manny's aggressiveness would have gotten him stopped by the late rounds i believe.
And yah let's hope Rigondeaux gets the exposure he deserves and some good payday's off the strength of this victory. It was no slouch that he made look like a slouch in that ring. Only a great fighter can make such a great talent look so normal.Comment

One thing that was encouraging for Rigo fans was the 12th round when he made Donaire back pedal after busting up his right eye. Rather than cruise to victory for the rest of the round (taking zero risk), he went in and tried to close the show. When Nonito had his rear guard high to protect that nasty swelling, I was hoping Rigo would stick a hook between the elbow and the waistband. Anyway, I think the beating that Donaire took in the 12th round was worse than the knockdown suffered by Rigo in the 10th.Comment

One punch didn't do anything, Rigondeaux said it after the fight boxing is not one punch, I knew Rigondeaux was gonna win before the fight, that punch was just the beginning of an ass whooping that was gonna happen with or without that punchComment

Truly skillful fight Rigo turned out to be. In the 1st round he found that straight left was there for taking all night. Donaire was unprepared, looked soft physique wise, and couldn't put together a consistent combo for the life of him. Rigo came prepared.....Comment
