this is what everyone gets for sleeping on rigo and overrating donaire. donaire was always good but he never struck me as great. rigo was the better man in everything tonight. cong**** to that man and shouts to all the guys who rode with him since this whole donaire thing started over a year ago. we were in the trenches calling for this fight and rigo proved his fans right

Thought he had a very good chance in doing so.

I thought that maybe Nonito might have got caught with a thumb to the eye in the early part of the round, but the replays clearly showed it was a perfect, clean shot.

Same here, I kept saying you got this on the cards, don't get caught in the last minute. But Donaire was not punching back at all, Rigo messed his eye up bad with that straight left.

I agree. He was probably at a 10 pound weight disadvantage tonight. Imagine the difference at 126?

An there's not really a cash cow in the division to make it worth the effort

The size difference against someone like Garcia would be ridiculous. He makes weight comfortably and like kiaba360 just pointed out to me, with TR signing Darchinyan this week, there is at least one opponent that he could make good money with. Also the Mijares-Terrazas winner like you mentioned.
