Sorry to spam with hate on this thread, congratz to Rigondeaux, he boxed amazingly and ended all the hype. Looks like he's the real deal..

Glad Rigo won, have to say i thought Donaire would win beforehand but it's great that the underdog prevailed.

To all the people saying it was a boring fight, i don't know what fight you were watching. That was pure boxing at it's finest, a masterclass from Rigo!
Boxing is not just about slugfests and knockouts you have to appreciate the level of skill involved here. I enjoyed this as much as Rios-Alvarado.

rigondeaux did not run at all in any round not even when he got knocked down it was donaire who was sprinting backwards around the ring in the 12th when he tried letting his hands go and rigo countered him.

rigodeaux easily won the fight by countering nice & landing clean shots but he was running a track meet backwards & threw 30 punches a round until the 12th when he clearly hurt donaire's eye...doesn't say much about donaire's performance. rigo schooled him but it was a terrible fight with next to no action except for a couple decent exchanges...these guys had work rates of heavyweights which is unexceptable in my eyes especially when you are 100lbs lighter...

this fight was a huge letdown. they threw like 50 punches combined a round & rigo ran a track meet while donaire tried to chase him down. i understand some fans say it was a "great display of boxing" by rigo but to me that was down right boring & i could have easily went to bed before the end but i thought donaire might be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat. i was wrong! this fight was as bad as valuev\holyfield & the sad thing is valuev weighs more then both rigo & donaire combined & i bet they threw less punches then him(kidding but you get my point)...

Nonitos excuses after the fight were pathetic. I'm glad the fans booed him. He shouldve just kept it real-i tool rigo lightly and paid for it.
