I'm surprised and will gladly eat my words. Congratulations to Rigondeaux for handling his business big time.

Hope the Canelo vs Trout fight is more exciting but skills are first and foremost what should be appreciated as tonight displayed.

Take my name off this list. I was the one preaching about how fans should never count on a fighter landing a specific KO punch. I also said a great bet is to put money on Rigo. My only argument was regarding people who said Donaire was ducking Rigo. I said how it is a mistake people picking Donaire to blast out Rigo.

You're a clown that should be banned from even watching boxing. Clearly you have no appreciation of the sweet science.

It's just like I said a few days ago: "Whenever people talk too heavily about a single type of punch ending the fight, it rarely happens". Its counting on something that the dynamics of the fight may not allow because of styles. Donaire is not very hard to hit. And he can fall into a lull now and then which an opponent could capitalize on. Also, the ability to take a shot can also be related to focus and conditioning and Rigo will be far more in the zone in those categories for Donaire than he was for Marroquin"

That was one for the purists. A boxing masterclass from Rigondeaux. Donaire is a top class fighter and he was made to look ordinary at times.

Power is useful to have, but only if it used in the right way. Rigondeaux took that away from Donaire with clever movement.

Mares and Garcia are the only two fighters I see giving Rigondeaux a challenge from 122-126. I don't think any one else stands a chance.

What Rigo has is rare in that if you took away all his power, he would still be just as effective with his skills. He has a great eraser if he needs it but doesn't need it. Not many Boxers you can say the same about.
