I wasnt that high on Rigo going into tonight but he impressed me in this fight. Hes the real deal. But I was very disappointed in Nonito. Like most power punchers he wasnt active enough. He walked in the ring looking like he just smoked a blunt. His body even looked like Chavez Jr. Good win for Rigo but what a disappointing performance by Nonito.

Rigg fought well and was certainly smarter than Donaire, props to Rigg for winning! Not really sure what Donaire and Garcia was thinking chasing Rigg most of the time and trying to load up for for a KO punch, all night! Rigg definitely won but I thought the 116-111 score was crazy but it doesn't matter. Rigg is the man with brains!

It was good, some times too slow for me, but Nonito as I said can not pass Rigo. Schooled

Donaire underestimated Rigo and got served. Glad Rigo got the win. Not really seeing anybody giving him too much trouble. Mikey Garcia might be a good fight for him, not really sure what weight class he is though.

Masterful stuff by Rigondeaux. I thought there was a decent chance of an upset, but never like this.

The fight was competitive for the first 2 rounds, then Rigondeaux gave him a boxing lesson for pretty much the rest of the match. By the middle rounds he was actually in cruise mode as he was that much in control of the fight, & that gave Donaire the only chance he had when he scored the knockdown. However it proved to be brief a moment, & Rigondeaux was back in control by the next round.

How anyone can score this fight close obviously doesn't know the first thing about boxing, as this was a masterclass in precision, timing & ring generalship.

Congratulations to Rigondeaux, & I would say the only person that can beat him at the weight is himself, by getting simply getting too casual. Skillwise he is simply a once in a generation fighter.
