Have you ever laced a pair and got in the ring for 3 rounds 3 minutes with or with out headgear at an international level?..

If so you would know..getting rocked in the chin with a power shot even with headgear on isn't pleasant, nor does it take away too much from the impact..headgear is meant to protect against concussions from falls when you get knocked down and from cuts and headbutts..

If anything having no headgear is an advantage for some..given that those with good head movement have a smaller target to get landed on...

I heard the interview in Spanish and Nacho actually said that he thinks that Rigondeaux is going to win if he applies himself in the fight. He said that Rigo is very skilled and that it wouldn't actually be an upset if Rigo beats Donaire.

He also talked a little bit about the fact that Rigo was a southpaw and that he could school Donaire if he fights smart.

If a guy who's 11-0 defeats a P4P fighter who has 30 fights then that's definitely an upset. It might not be in his eyes cause he probably thinks highly of Rigo but that'd definitely be an upset.

You guys do know there's been plenty of chinny guys who's gotten past hard punchers right?

I used to spar without headgear if our coach wasn't there. Basturdin' thing gets in the way of your peripheral vision.
