this is like a david vs goliath fight

    the difference is
david(GGG) = is the one asking for the fight
    Goliath(Hopkins) = a wise MF@cker kind of goliath

I dont know about this fight man its 50/50
hopkins has a style like ward that will make any style look bad....

id love to see this fight though
this will be a great test for GGG boxing skills not his power

Damn near every advantage besides age would be gone for GGG.
one of the biggest cherry-pickers of all time nows there's 2 much size advantage 4 him...funny he doesn't sound off like this vs Ward...then it's his "friend" Ward...AD would dominate hopkins...

GGG doesn't care about weight, and will fight wherever. Hopkins is a champ at 175. 2 big names, that aren't going to BS around, and actually make the fight happen.

This is a fuggin awesome fight.
I would like to see it too but...

When Genady was asked would he fight Ward at 168 he said he needs one or two fights at 168. How can he move straight from 160 to 175, and then back to 160 to fight Martinez or Geale.

I think he can get 'a big name' without jumping 2 weight classes. Martinez will be pretty pressured if GGG KOs Macklin.
If Hopkins wants to prove something he should fight Ward, and GGG needs to clean 160 before moving up.

ATM it just doesn't make sense IMO. Lets say GGG beats Hopkins - what's next. To lose 15 lbs...

I just wish Hopkins would write a book on Nutrition and lifestyle for Athelets and the rest. He really is amazing at his age.

There's not much to imagine. 3G's only chance of winning is by knockout, otherwise he get's his ears boxed off for 12 rounds or if his corner wants to save him the humiliation, they'll stop it before 12.

                Imagine what?

The Winky Wright that Hopkins fought at a catchweight of 170lbs is a far, far, far better fighter than Golovkin is right now, with a far better resume. Completely sh-ts on Golovkin's resume. And yet the Winky Wright win is not even seen as a good win by some, despite it being a competitive fight against a top 10 P4P fighter. You're telling me Hopkins beating the unproven, no wins over a good name, Golovkin at One Hundred Seventy Five Pounds would actually be seen as a big deal? Even Pavlik at 170 would be a far better win, and Hopkins doesn't even get much credit for those wins supposedly because of the weight. And Golovkin is going to be seen as a good win at 175? Please. Hopkins schools this guy easily and the win gets disregarded.

Fight can't be disregarded, young hungry fighter vs. old school smart fighter. Win, win for both as far as I'm concerned.

I think the hate on both B-Hop and Golovkin need to stop from certain posters. Hopkins is an ATG Legend and Golovkin is great for boxing.

I do feel that Hopkins will be a bit too much for Gennady even at this stage. Does Gennady punch harder than a 175 Cloud or Pascal? That is the one worrying thing for me in regards to Hopkins. Despite the commentary, B-HOP took a lot of shots from Cloud flush and from Pascal as well. He managed well against both though and went on to beat both guys. Hopkins is aging but aging so well it's almost hard to believe.

If Golovkin go up to 175 though? I don't think he is coming down to MW. He will stay at 168. He is already a small MW and will be a very small SMW, which is a concern.

Hopkins calling out another guy that has to come up 10+ pounds to fight him. What a surprise!!!

Wait for it............But Hopkins is old he can fight anyone he likes.
