People now want to see Marquez ko Pac again, and vice versa. Pac lost the business side of the deal the minute he fell on his face. And this is after 3 close fights.

Do you ****** Pac fans remember how rabidly you argued against Floyd getting the majority despite being the clearly greater PPV starand higher earner/draw?

In fact, a lot of non ****** fans were also arguing that Pac deserved half, despite not being as high in PPVs. Why? The principle of it. It was the biggest fight in boxing and the most wanted.

Now imagine if Pac had just beaten Floyd by KO and in the rematch it was being argued that Floyd still deserved more. You guys would be going ****ing completely ballistic and fruity. There would be thousand page long threads of rabid, psychotic rants about it. Death threats, bomb threats, stalking, snipers, the lot.

      Why the sudden switch?

Yes he does on merit and performance
No he doesn't based on business
This is true, but I also see it for a fifth fight as he absolutely deserves it from both a business standpoint, because its now the biggest fight that can be made in boxing apart from FM/MP, and a merit standpoint after 4 fights and the only dominant, clear win by KO. This time around its because of Marquez, that this fight will be ten times bigger than it would otherwise, not Pacquiao.

Marquez is clearly a decent draw, shown by the crowd being an overtly Marquez crowd in the 4th fight. I'm guessing that a lot of the PPV buyers were also tuning in to see if Marquez could get the win, as well as him having the large majority of ticket buyers.

This time though, because of the last fight and the huge star he became and the publicity he got, Marquez against Pac again, will be the one pulling in a huge part. Deserving of 50% because of that and because he KHTFO in the last fight.

Marquez deserves a pay rise, but not 50/50. You said Marquez is a decent draw, well then Pac is a huge draw, not to mention you based it on the crowd which was at the fight.... which doesn't make much sense. The fighters are paid as much as they are because of what they have done in the sport of boxing, the amount of entertainment they bring and the amount of money from fans that follows them.

Pac >>>>>>> Marquez in terms of accomplishments, personality, record and an exciting fighting style.

Floyd and Pac deserved 50/50 or extremely close because they are both the 2 superstars of boxing in our era, Marquez isn't, nor Bradley.

          of course.

sure pacquiao brings in big money regardless of who he fights but its not like marquez isnt a fan favorite himself and with the exception of mayweather pacquiao couldnt generate as much interest fighting anyone but marquez. ppl arent coming to watch one man or the other, they are coming to watch them both, to see how the next chapter in their great rivalry unfolds. that alone warrants marquez to get if not 50%, close to it.

add to that what happened in the last fight and theres no reason for marquez to settle for anything less. pacquiao had a great career, he doesnt need anyone but he sure wants marquez and everyone knows it. JMM himself is good either way, so there is no reason for him to budge. this is business and if you dont think pac and arum made JMM bend over backwards to get a third and fourth fight you are deluded. they have been making everyone to take all sorts of **** to get a shot at pacquiao, now the shoe is on the other foot.

so guys with the 50% who is ducking who??

i dont think it is ducking by either side, i have mentioned in my previous post, if I were Pac I would pay the 50% to get another crack at marquez but boxing is still a business I dont get the comparison between PBF-PAC & JMM-PAC?!? star power and business wise Manny is closer to PBF than JMM, IMHO Team Marquez already made mistakes before in pricing themselves out longtime ago, hope they learn there lesson, 40% should do it...

anyway anyone here know what was the percentages from their last fight? if the pie cut was around 70-30, i would agree that 50-50 is justified...

mayweather and pacquiao's drawing power is alot closer you ******
and floyd packs his undercard with already mexican stars and fights on cinco de mayo, how good of a contract and how much he can take from the total purse is a different story and is completely irrelevent to how many seats/ppv's they sell

I would definitely. To see both of them score knockdowns on each other was great, both fighters looked good, and it looked like despite the knockdowns Pac was comfortably outboxing Marquez.

you're dumb as rocks if you thought pac and jmm's individual ppv draws is somewhere in the ballpark of pac and may's.

myself I thought one more round and Pac will finally get to stop Marquez, but it was not to be the case and we saw one heck of a knockout punch...

I was shocked and sorry for Manny but at the same time I could not stop watching the knockout replays...
