  • Should Marquez Get 50% of The Pacquiao 5 Purse?

Marquez is demanding at least 50% of the purse to rematch Pacquiao. Is this the fair amount, is it too much to ask or should Marquez actually get the lion's share (more than 50%)?

Marquez deserves at most 1/3 of the purse. Pacquiao is still a huge draw.

If a guy like Marquez hasnt at least earnt it, then I really dont know what a person has to do. **** all this 'but he the bigger draw' shit. Heard all this gay crap before from floyd and his grubby, bumsniffing fans. It lacks honour.

Course he does. He won't get it but he deserves it in my eyes.

Pac needs this fight more than him.

50-50 is fine, they need each other to sell the fight, just like Pacquiao and Mayweather.

Is it about the percentage of the purse or overall money? A Pacquiao-Marquez 5 in Macau I heard from a credible source would generate at least $50 million in total purse, plus they would pay less tax than in USA. Give Marquez $20 million and Pacquiao $30 million. If Marquez turns down $20 million then let him fight somebody else for $2 million.

                Exactly this.

Pacquaio is much bigger than Marquez in boxing.

I'd love to see this backfire on him and he ends up fighting a different fighter for a small purse then losing. Marquez isn't a big seller by himself, where as Floyd and Manny are. That's the difference.
