Yeah, still not buying into that angle. Marketing.

Nice try though, I still think Alvarez wins

anyone remember this quote from about a month ago?...

Trout previously defeated Canelo's older brother, Rigoberto Alvarez. Canelo doesn't exactly know if that factor adds a certain level of revenge in the match. "I always climb into the ring to win, and if that is an additional motivation or not, we'll see. What I want is to win and still be champion", Canelo said.

canelo is only 22...he's done alright in my books. he's had lots of experience now & he will start fighting better guys. everyone will want to fight him since he is a PPV draw. i think trout is going to hand him his first loss. it wouldn't be the end of the world either...there would still be huge fights out there for him.

Yup! I remember this article. This storyline is just plain ******. It's the media making more out of the situation - nothing more, nothing less. It's funny you post this because I posted the same article and commented about this like a month ago.

But some people log on to hate on Canelo, any reason will suffice.

Anyone who thinks Canelo is taking this because he has to is delusional. He demanded the tough matchup, and to me that spells a big set of stones. Wonder what will be said when he TKOs Trout mid-late rounds? Because that WILL happen.

Showtime is going to push this story like hell on April 20th before the fight starts. They want to give it a WWE type of story line. That's cool, because it is legit. You are fighting the guy who beat your bro.

Not really, especially when Canelo already came out and said something different and just now, three-two weeks before the fight these types of headlines are being published.

I would be laughing my ass off if Showtime even mentions this minutes before the fight, such bull.
