so that holds true too then that they have different rules with interim titles...

coz if 2 champions fight for only one belt , the one who does'nt have his belt on the line gets to keeps his title even if he losses.... i dont understand how this is not true with interim belts....

Garcia has won all of his fights. He's the #1 guy in this tournament so he should get the easiest fight in the first round. What do you want? Matthysse vs. Judah 2?

And I get it. Matthysse is the ****. And he's got a fight that he should win in front of him and is getting the opportunity of a lifetime.

Again, Garcia beat Khan when Khan was coming off a loss.

If anything, I can see Peterson being #1. But if you're gonna say that Peterson can't be #1 because of the steroid scandal than that means you can't rank him at #2 either.

But if you do rank him at #1 because of his victory over Khan, then that means Mathysse has not only fought Garcia's mandatory in Olusegun, but also the #1 ranked JWW in Peterson.

But again, if you count the steroid allegations, then Peterson isn't #2, but in fact behind Mathysse.

Either way you cut it, Mathysse's strength of schedule is better than Garcia's in his last several fights. Worst case scenario, he's done more than Judah has in the last few years despite losing to Zab a few years ago; thus making Mathysse more deserving at Garcia than Zab at the moment.

Garcia already got the easiest fight in the tourny by fighting shot to schit Morales and skipping over Olusegun. Mathysse ate the Olusegun bullet for Garcia.

Garcia has already used his "gimme's" already.

Easy fights are over. He should be fighting Mathysse right now.

But because it's officially labeled a tourny, let's forget the Morales fights and not fighting Olusegun. I guess that go's out the window and we have to start all over because we're now in the "tourny".

Sure Garcia beat Khan, but again, Peterson just beat Khan one fight prior. Garcia stepped in at the last minute because of the testing thing. It still doesn't change that Khan was coming off a loss.

Then, why didn't Garcia fight Olusegun instead of Morales? Why, because of some rematch clause? Please GB does what they wanna do, when they wanna do it. There's a work around for everything. If they really wanted Garcia to fight Olusegun, the mandatory, it would've happened.

Then instead of fighting Mathysse now, he's fighting Judah. This fight has been a joke since day 1. I don't care the Judah beat Mathysse a "few years" ago. Or Judah beat Vernon Paris who has accomplished zelch. We all know what happens to Judah every time he's on the main stage. He chokes. Then I hear all this stuff about it being some east coast thing because Judah sells tickets. That's BS. It's because they want him far away from Mathysse as possible.

This is no different than what Bute tried to pull off during the SS and what Canelo's been doing. Let all the elite guys in the division x each other out while I sit back sitting pretty.

So again, comparing Garcia's schedule to Mathysse's and I think he is being put through the ringer.
what does garcia have to do with matthysse?who was garcia before he fought amir?he was a replcement that made the best of his oppertunity and is now the champ its not like garcia was looked at as one of the major players at 140 3-4 years ago so what does lucas fights with judah and alexander have to do with garcia?garcia win over khan is better than any win matthysse has and since danny beat khan the only fighters matthysse has beat is olsegun who is only hyped up by matthysse fans and mike dallas so in comparison to garcia since garcia has been champ matthyse level of competition is not that much better

But you got to be realistic. He got a fight scheduled for April. You can't back out of a contract and screw the fans over that bought their tix back in February. They both need to take interim fights.

What do you want? Matthysse vs. Dallas Jr. 2 as a tuneup for Garcia in the fall?

Sounds like Lucas isn't confident in beating Peterson put the fake belt on the line and get it on
